  1. Id be worried about the extra torque coming from the motor hurting the Tranny .

I swapped a 350 in my old truck (had a 305) both v8 same block an had to change my lockup solenoid and gear servo because of the extra torque both were replaced with what would be in the hd trans for the 2500

  2. First off, I have researched the pinned topics and am still a little lost. Any help would be appreciated. As far as my lift question, is there a thread that has a detailed parts list of what I need for the 2"AC lift and where I can purchase the parts? I know that there are a few options as far as brands of shocks/struts and what not. Also, I have the 5-speed pathy. Will the lift effect my shift, steering linkage or brake lines?

I have seen a few members that have went with an XJ steel front bumper. Do they just mount right up or will I need to break out the welder? I found the XRC by Smitty Built for $100 bucks.

Thanks for any tips or help! Sorry if I missed the threads that answer these questions. Cheers

Cheak out theexbritt's build of his bumper
  3. Not necessarily... 9.5k# Smittybilt winch for $300 @ 4wheelparts, lock right mechanical locker for about $300 and what else did you need? ;)

Sorry to thread jack a min but have you ordered from them before? i was going to but decided to do research and found a ton of bad reviews so i didnt order anything
  4. Very easy to replace.. Cost should be around 120$.

I got the rad a cvshaft and 2 ball joints for 168 shipped from rock auto so its not as bad as i thought it would be

    Peace of cake,

Undo the hose, take off the fan shroud (pro tip, let it rest on the fan) and then remove the two screw that hold the rad brackets, and slide the pile out!! Easy peasy

Wow nice and easy i have what looks like a aftermarket trans cooler or a ac cooler on the front of my rad will that change the steps or no? Later ill post a pic of it
  5. So some of you may know that i had to replace a coolent hose acouple days ago well today i fired her up to let her run about ten minutes in it started steaming from the hood so i shut her down opened the hood to air it out and after it cleared and seamed safe to breath i started checking lines and realized my radiator cracked so how hard is it to replace the radiator?

  6. It goes to your thermal element for the fast idle cam. Little arm that pushes back and forth based on the heat of your coolant. The hose that is busted plugs into the back of that, and it is located under your upper plenum. The pipe is the feed for the EGR to feed the exhaust back into the manifold to reduce cylinder temps and/ or noxx emissions.

That hose that is busted is the source of the coolant leak? And i defiantly have to take the plenum off to change it?

Friday im going to the jy to get one so ill learn what is all needed to come off on a junker any parts i should grab while im in there?

I already plan on grabbing the knock sensor as mine is broke so while im in changing my hose ill change that

  7. I did the spark plugs and wires in August (2013) so there good and im at 184000 miles so i think theve been replaced because it looks like they were leaking but right where the cover sits to the head is clean but below that is oily

  8. I don't recall any coolant passage that would cause it to leak at the egr, it's possible that either a pressed plug (such as the one just above the egr in the photo) or a gasket in the vicinity could be leaking. Hard to diagnose without physically seeing it. Hope it gives you an idea though.

Is this the plug the plug you mean?

  9. has anybody tried to use a stock jeep wrangler spare tire holder bolted to the hatch? you lose the access to the rear storage threw the glass but if you reinforced the area with steel inside of the hatch and it cleared the wiper mech i think that would work you might have to move the lugs around to fit but

  10. Ok there is a bolt/screw that holds some type of mount near there that had antifreeze so i thought it came from there so is there anything there that could blow like that

My valve covers are covered with antifreeze but its also wet up to the egr valve

  11.

One great way to spot of a penis truck from a mud truck is to look for the radiator. If the rads in front its a penis truck, if its in the bed with E-fans its a mud truck.

    .

I have to disagree with you there my uncle has a 86 suburban sitting on 44s and the radiator is in stock location and that thing only sees pavment to get to the mud holes his brother has a 78 chevy pick up sitting on 48s that has to be trailered to the mud runs because by ny law his is to tall to be street legal and his radiator is in stock location both of them drive stock 250s ones a dodge ones a chevy.

almost all of the trucks that go to the mudruns and trail rides around me haven't moved there radiators

  12. EGR valve in the last pic,

To the OP, you truck may have the wiring for the heated seats but If you don't have heated seats than most likely there are not seat heaters in the seats, also you don't have the switches for the heated seats right? It's cost effective for Nissan to only make one harness even if options are not installed, but they wouldn't install seats with the heaters in them and not have them hooked up.

Both pics are the same thing. What's the big line coming out of it
