Do the CV joints provide support?
River044road replied to Wifes96NP's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
On the steering question, Yes it could. debris getting in through the broken boot can cause all sorts of issues in that rack. -
That's just normal HID's though. The placement of the ballasts are not really an issue because if it's 2 or 4 either way they are going under the hood.

You are just need a glowing sign at night that says "Don't look into the light". It's really easy to wire up if you have done other wiring projects. You have a power, ground, and a power that goes into one of the factory headlight plugs the biggest pain is making it so everything is neatly tucked away. I got my headlights from DDMtuning.com http://www.gtoforum.com/attachments/f42/12012d1313231268-hid-problem-not-bright-enough-need-help-hid_wiring_diagram_with_relay_harness_and_electrolytic_capacitor.png

Went through 2 because of this. ALTERNATOR!
-
No It's DDM tuning. I am going to HID my KC Apollo's and wanted to see if I could get away with one ballast per set since I have 4 up there, do not need hi/low.
-
Anybody know if it is possible to get one ballast to work two hids?
-
So does the light turn off when you are slower than say 65mph? And I second getting a scantool from napa, the codes should be saved.

I've had that miss fire issue and just did new cap rotor plugs and still had miss. Changed to plus fuel thinking blown ring but turns out the distrib was done. Replaced distrib this month and I don't have to pay extra for fuel. So you might want to try testing that distributor make sure it is putting out what it should. Take it a part down to the coil pack make sure there's no burn marks. -
DIY Cold Air Intake water intrusion?
River044road replied to Karmann's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I put my a prefilter out the side of the fender and just enclosed it for the most part with thin gauge sheet metal. In a good az rain storm she held up. -

Dinghy Towing, Car dolly towing, or what?
River044road replied to whispers8021's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Because parts are not being lubricated during motion while being pulled. Pull your drive shaft and you will be fine. -
anybody change a distributor lately
River044road replied to River044road's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Not a fan of amazon been screwed once and that was enough. Rockauto so far has been the cheapest next to parts geek by $2 difference. -

Thx, first check was Napa and $300 for the part was not what I wanted to see. Just hoping to find good price for a reliable part. -
Just wondering where yall bought the distributor(pricing), looks like ill be replacing one. Old distrib decided to burn coil eat bearings as well as munch on a rotor.

Can we run true duels on these? Won't hurt anything?

White out is definitely a must in my tool box right next to the brick lol. I was going to mark them anyways just a little nervous to do it because I'm not really the best in engine work. Question though, if you guys were in my situation with the water pump,(hasn't failed and no signs of fail, just an annoying whine) would you change it yet?

Did you use a timing light to do timing or do you know a technique?
