00 Nissan pathfinder lost of coolant
fearkobe replied to fearkobe's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
It was low in the radiator not the resevor. -
Last Sunday we lost coolant in the radiator had to add like half a gallon. Had the truck checked out and said everything was good. Checked the coolant again and it was low in the radiator. I got a block tester from auto zone to see if it had air in the system. Last Sunday when filling it up I noticed it was foaming in the radiator but it went away. Any ideas? Looked for outside leaks around the water pump from the top. Anyway gonna try that block tester and see what happens.

Didn't know if those one in the craigslist ad will wear out quick since they are passengers. But the tire shop has these for 460 http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.herculestire.com/imageGen.ashx%3Fimage%3D/media/63170/allcountryat.png%26height%3D350&imgrefurl=http://www.herculestire.com/tire-gallery/passenger-and-light-truck/light-truck/all-country-at/&h=350&w=254&tbnid=TILLJWZRAavhXM&q=ironman+all+country+a+t&tbnh=264&tbnw=191&usg=__gYFvnF3lOQUIfUDUogbM-u6iUYk=&docid=pWFWSpRjVwoxQM

Found these on craigslist but they are passenger tires they might wear out faster?http://monterey.craigslist.org/pts/5125167092.html

Will it hurt to put a 170 though?
-
00 pathfinder. I'm not sure which I got in there right now. My question is with the 180 stat does it normally sit in the middle? If so I want to put 170 degree stat in there instead. Will this effect anything other than the gas mileage? Thanks

Thanks for the reply guys think we should just have them changed anyways for safety reasons. If it was mine I would leave it but this is my sisters car and with a kid I think it's better to have them replace it. I think we will go for a 245 70 16 and maybe get the spare replaced too looks too big and its a bigger size tire looks like someone replaced it with a Firestone tire with cracks. Anyway was gonna ask you guys opinion on brakes I was gonna get them off of rock auto they are Wagner brakes there the thermo quiet ceramics or what do you recommend?
-
The treads look fine but the cracks are the ones that I'm worried about but if it's good then I won't change them.
-
I'm just concerned with the heat driving up there. It's a 900 mile drive. The tires were made in 09. Thanks for the reply.

i forgot to mention the boots are ripped. -
I'm just asking but we are making a road trip to wa from CA and back and was wondering if it would be OK to drive on bad CV axles as long as we aren't using the 4x4? Just a question I don't really know the answer too. They don't click or make noise. Thanks

Hi I'm replacing all the speakers on a 00 pathfinder cause the stock ones are turn and shot. They are clarions. Anyway ordered some pioneers of eBay. My question is I don't want to cut the stock plug off the speaker harness and I was wondering if any stereo shops carry or can get the plug that plugs into the stock speaker wire? Also how can I tell which wire is positive or negative? Thanks
-
Where can I ground it to? I see the previous owner put ground wire under the hood from the engine to the hood. So if the test light doesn't light up when touching the chassis it's gotta be the radio then? Thanks for the replies
-
If the chasie live with a hot wire can I put the test light on it and see if it's live?

What I mean with the radio working it only turns on when I have it screwed in but still has only the tweeters working.
-
Funny thing to the radio will only work with the radio screwed in. I'll look at it tomorrow again. Now could this be the radio they has a short? I did find a nickel in the radio. Thanks for the reply

Have a 00 pathfinder and the speakers aren't working all the way around just the tweeters in the front. I talked to the previous owner he said when he goes over bumps it goes out and it will come on when he hits another bump the speakers that is. I took the radio out everything is fine but I noticed a little arking taking the screw's out for the radio. Is that normal? Also what size are the speakers in these? We are just gonna put a new deck from there and see what happens. Thanks
