  1. van models and part numbers would be great, Cheers
  2. Sorted it. Basically the TD27ETI engine uses the MAF sensor to work out boost pressure. I had a cheap chinese copy MAF off ebay in the motor, just put my old knackered bosch one in, it still runs poor like it did before the chinky MAF but its stopped going into limp mode. Those pesky chinks have a lot to answer for
  3. Either way you'll need to lower the compression if you want to run anything like a moderate boost, so you'll need a sandwich plate or the pistons machining/changing
  4. Its a 2002 TD27 turbo intercooler with bosch manament, diagnosed with consult 2 So it goes into limp mode only after its warmed up giving a fault about turbo pressure It resets limp mode when you turn ignition off and on again ok for 30 secs, then power loss again, rinse and repeat. But its fine for the 10 or so miles its takes from cold to reach max working temperature, so its only when warm. This makes me think the boost loss is happening when something metalic is expanding and opening up a crack. I'n my attempts to sort this problem so far I've had intercooler tested and its fine, replaced inlet manifold gasket, resealed throttle body, removed flap spindle from throttle body and filled holes with chemical metal. Remove EGR valve completely and plated the inlet and exhaust holes with a 4mm tick blanks that i bolted and sealed with copper rtv. What else could be causing boost loss after reaching full temp ?

  6. Anyone riding fox reservoir or rebuildable air shocks up front ? Looking at a set myself, perhaps when i have done some other mods, and have a spare £250 - £360 uk But Chevy silverado front shocks will fit wd21 terranos so part numbers : 980-02-359-A Factory Series 2.0 Smooth Body Reservoir 980-02-268-A Factory Series 2.0 Smooth Body Emulsion Anyone fancy it ?
  7. TD27 diesel As title, should i put some on both sides of gasket or not bother at all ? Or could i just use rtv instead of gasket ? I refitted my leaking water pump the other week and cleaned both surfaces shiny and refitted it with just rtv and its been fine, but i guess that the boost presure would force the rtv out of the inlet manifold flange ?

    WD21 3" lift

    WD21 3" lift

How much longer Are the modded UCA's ? if i got longer bolts, like this: M14 x 60 FINE PITCH 1.5 mm HEX HEAD BOLT BLACK 10.9 X4 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350261307377?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 And some : 10 PACK - M14 FORM A WASHERS SOLID STAINLESS STEEL A2 Thickness 2.5mm Outside diameter 28mm http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150332184513?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Chuck 4 washers on each bolt that would be 10mm extra, what do you think ?
  10. its probably a standard 12mm bolt then and you'll more than likely need to sleeve it to 14mm
  11. So, will WJ front springs fit and give a lift ? Can get bloody hundreds of those here in uk, but v8 zj springs are like hens teeth These are them:

    WD21 3" lift

Ok, so I have a terrano R20, which uses wd21 chassis and suspension. Now I just got me some '97 grand cherokee v8 front springs off ebay, as I just read on here that they will give me 3" on the rear. What do i need to do to the front to get it up 3" ? I read that you can only crank 2" on torsion. So i can get some spacers for the ball joints off ebay : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330684975920?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Will these give me an extra 18mm lift ? As if I crank 2 inch plus the 3/4 inch from these spacers would be fine i think ? What are your thoughts ? Cheers
