You can't get a different shaft. 2" suspension lift on front is reliable if you wheel hard. 3" with lowered diff bushes, calmini top arms and Porsche 930 outer cvs so I'm told

Can an LSD wear out to a point where it acts like an open diff?
Stinka replied to mel.d's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
If its a late c200 axle like in my r20 model then yes it will be shot, as the later ones are made of @!*% steel And the diaphragm springs crack, but stay in place albeit with no Pressure on LSD clutches If its an h233b then not likely as uk r20 to '99 had this axle as well as patrols/safaris and loads of pathys and this axle (and if it is an LSD variant) is bomb proof -
Small Block Chevy Swap worth it?
Stinka replied to pratt152's topic in Solid Axle Swaps, Hardcore Custom Fab
In the uk here and those rover lumps suck, lucky to get 170bhp unless u seriously mod it Td27 will do more power but more importantly more torque and is better suited to offroad 4x4 driving, and a straight bolt in fit -
Just get a lokka from 4wheeldrivesystems

Was just laughing at this with my Gf and its mental the fact that the guy went straight through the middle, like the deepest part I'd have tried to hug the kerb at least ! This was at like 8am friday morning so i reckon he was still drunk from the night before ... It's the only logical explanation

Stinka replied to ferrariowner123's topic in General Forums
Cooper stt's tbh. The sidewall is tough as hell And just a good check on fluids etc, Cambelt if its not had one. Test the shocks for bounce and leaks and if they are tired replace with something decent and heavy duty -

Lokka - the front locker for the R50 from Australia
Stinka replied to stioc's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Front locker is invaluable with the limited articulation you have from an ifs vehicle compaired to a solid axle front vehicle -
I have a UK terrano R20, different body but it has a WD21 chassis and suspension. Wanted to fix up some budget sill protection, as when out rock crawling on a trail I bent the standard side steps and took a mark on my drivers sill, only minor but i figured need something more substantial. So i got an old beasty 180amp stick welder of my mate for $50 and some 2" box with a 3mm or 0.12" wall also got some plates cut from 8mm sheet( using imperial here as us europeans deal in meteric which I have found is foreign to the americans lol ) So i procceeded to weld them up, this is my first ever attampt at welding : Now for the test, I jacked it up : Ok some erious deflection, but it returned to perfectly straight. Picture showing return to straight using my 6ft spirit level as a straight edge : So i removed them, then i coated them with red oxide, then sprayed some matt black plastikote (rattle can ) on them and fitted the knock in plastic caps. bolted them up with m12x100mm bolts : In summary, they were cheap to make, owe me less than $100, I learned alot about welding. They might bend at the ends if I drop the whole weight of the vehicle straight on to a rock, but they are prototypes lol. They will protect my b pillars if i slide badly into rocks or trees and offer my sills some serious protection, so I will see how they go
