Some things never change. Modern keyed ignitions can be taken just as easily by the right people.

You may have to remove these little brackets to remove before you put it on. I think everything is a 19mm. Once you take those brackets off its pretty self explanatory.
When you crawl under your pathfinder, you should see two mounting points, one on each side of the vehicle.
Inwards of them, are "usually" a set of little angled brackets, one on each side. These much be unbolted. The hitch will bolt in place.

ATF= Automatic Transmission fluid.
Do you have an aftermarket transmission cooler? Is the radiator the factory unit?
I had issues with heat until I literally destroyed the factory rad when I tried to climb a mountain (it was 110 F.)
Replaced rad with an aftermarket piece, added a bigger aftermarket transmission cooler to replace the first one I added, and I was good to go.

That's a clever one!

On my 92, the exhaust gasket gave way and heated the carpet. Burned it away to bare steel on the floor the size of a quarter by the time I got home from wheelin'.

Make sure you check all the local yards, CL, etc.

Don't do a 72-75 or earlier CJ5. Parts are harder to find.
How often you need parts/break parts comes down to the condition of the Jeep when you start and how hard you wheel.
I prefer the Pathfinder's longer wheelbase, AC, Powersteering and brakes.
Jeeps are nice, but take a certain type of person, especially old CJs.

Speed costs money.
How fast do you want to go?

Pull the radiator and have it cleaned professionally.
From the factory, the Pathfinder had rubber/plastic inner fenders to keep the mud from flying. Try searching junk yards or maybe posting an add in the wanted section. Or fabricate something.

Might want to start a different thread on what 16 to run on your WD21, since this thread is called need new 31x10.50x15. Not sure how many members run 16's on a WD21 but you should get some suggestions. Oh, and a 285/75/16 is like a 33, so unless you have a lift its probably a bit too big unless you are gonna trim.
Probably gonna trim a lot, especially if the T Bars have sagged....

They made them without a window popper??? You poor souls!
-
So very sad....
I always just jack all four wheels. No rolling.

That's a very desirable roof rack. Use it on your rig or sell.

I've never had an issue with Warn's customer service.
I prefer the old Warn hub design, bigger, bulkier, but it uses bolts that actually hold. Too bad they never made them for Pathfinders.

In all honesty, if your flares rub with 31" tires, especially on the stock rims, the issue is probably that your T-bars have sagged and need to be adjusted/re-indexed not trimming the flares.
That said, some people like to remove the flares, but I prefer them on...

I know mine sagged. Everytime I went wheelin' and got flexy, I would gain almost an inch of ride height. I trimmed about 1/6 inch of plastic off the flares at the edges, where they were closest to the tires.

I ran 31s on my Lego wheels. Trimmed fender flares to fit. Best size for a pathfinder with no lift IMO.

More people have died in Grand Cherokee gas tank fires than Pinto Gas tank fires.

I did almost all the black diamond trails in Big Bear stock.
I couldn't do John Bull, and three or four more that come to mind. You get stuck when you do not know your vehicle well, your modifications aren't "in sync", and you don't have a grasp of where to put the tires or cannot IMO.
I wheel stock rigs into and out of areas where people have come in after me and broken axles....

I've seen Mile Markers literally explode.
Sure hope it was a fluke...

Yes there should be two of them. One affects the brake lights, as you said. The other lets the cruise control stuff know the brakes aren't on.

It is a stupidity.
Here is a polish video, they are showing what may happen when a cinetic rope is badly used.
Pathfinder is being beaten from 4:10
A lot of people don't take recovery as serious as they should.
That was just asking for damage. The shock load on that strap from pulling so hard has to go somewhere...
-
What a waste....

I dot have the need but woul probably put those "cages" on my mirrors a couple zips with a welder and some metal stock and I could see those being not too bad to make. Now to figure out how to make them fold with the mirror as well...
If they folder with the mirrors, heck I'd buy a set of those.

Picture of oem hitch attached to frame, or diagram?

Don't toss those brackets either if they're in good shape. They can be used to help raise the rear bumper when doing a body lift. I gave them away here on the forum.
