Did you ever figure out how to change the oil?? Lol jk

I last towed it up a sandy slope out of the water after it had taken on a ton of water from a rain storm. Bulge pump drained the battery. 3.3 pulled it out seemingly without any issues.
Sent from my iPhone using Crapatalk
Were my weight guess's around what it was actually towing?
And either way, thats still impressive.

I've seen issues where people dont get the model that doesn't really replace what they have, like no tint or built in antenna, but then again, i dont really care about either of those.
HMMMMM

Alright,
So, i recently put a huge crack that now spans the entire length my windshield in my 96' pathfinder. There has been a small crack that has been on the passenger side, as long as i can remember and probably has been there since i bought the car. And while i could have fixed the little chip and prevented ALL of this, i didn't.
Well, now i'm paying for it, we had an especially hot summer here in the PNW and my window had finally had enough. That and in combination with my dash protection reflector screen thingy, made it too much and it cracked, right to about the halfway point of the window. It progressed ever so slowly across and now is about 2-3"s from the drivers side. Its very distracting and sorta hard to ignore. So i'm looking at having it replaced. I don't have coverage for this on my insurance, and new OEM windows cost between $500-$800!! But my question to you is how hard is to change? And is it even worth doing myself? Am i really saving that much?
I found this video which looks to have been produced by PPG and it really doesn't look that hard
But if its only $100 for installation and comes with a warranty, that $100 well spent, but that's probably going to be some research on my end, checking around locally.
Let me know what you guys think.

Stock psi is like 26 (or at least my door says) but I run at about 32, 50 is high, really high.

So being R50's can you install a tire carrier on a 2003? I really prefer this look and also I would just feel better having my tire on the back rather than underneath.
Look hawairish , hes a member on here who has an in depth record of his process on the the swing away retrofit.

left our local junkyard and i found these rocks on the side of the road. i just cant help it
What Tail light guards do you have? Because i was going to buy some from hawairish, but decided against it because we thought they wouldn't fit. Clearly, you found some that fit! and i want!!
Sweet rig, BTW

How does the 3.3 handle the boat? looks like its maybe 17-18.5'? So about 3750-4250 wet?
I cant tow jack with my manual, 2500lbs, useless! The trailers weight more than 4/5 of that!!

Think he was referring to this when he said your profile shows 04....
But the burning smell had me concerned, that means some miss wiring causing a short, have you check connections for damage, moisture, corrosion?

I really want one of these for my rig, but could never figure out an effective and secure way to mount it to the car (without drilling it to the roof, which will leak) Maybe there is a way to incorporate it using the sliding roof face system and their mounting system....hmmm
Hey Xplorer hows the light spread with the light mounted a little farther back in the roof?

Man these rigs depreciate hard. "total Loss" because of a fender flare!!!
First Search i did came back around $500 painted from the factory!! So if we know that insurance companies generally consider a total loss when the damage exceeds greater than %80 of the vehicles worth, That means they see the cars value as less than a thousand bucks!! WTF!!
Sorry but i've had a hard time trying to get insurance recently for my Z, (because im under 25), so im just pissed at all of them now!
at any rate, welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing more of your rig.

Also, when was the last time the fluids were serviced? Could be time to get that done if you're having shifting issues.

Jack up the front of the car, if you are 2 wheel drive the front wheels should be able to spin freely.

ferrariowner123, is that a 240z because if it is I am so jealous!!!
77 280Z with some poorly moded 240Z bumpers. Check out my build in members rides. My last update shows more of what it looks like now.

Thanks again for that hawairish, I'll pm you later my phone struggles to type clearly on this site for some reason.
But as he said I doing the swap with the late model that hawairish sent me. After cleaning them up and taking my racks off to clean under them (really need to do this more often. I found my clear coat peeling up there, made me cry) and put the he sent me on (same racks through all the years I just used the ones he sent So I can restore my original set) and looks like it will line up, all the bolt holes line up. But you will need everything but the runners thar are already installed if you have a roof rack.

I'll pm you when I get a stable Internet connection. Flipping Comcast is ruining my night.

If anyone needs that special anchor I believe I have a Nissan one because I was given one when I went to get a free cargo cover, he threw in all the pathy stuff he had. Chains too.
Up for grabs since I'm happily single and hopefully kid-less for life.

You have the worst luck with shocks. Lol
And do you think I could a couple of those photos in a 1600X 900 sizes? Some are background worthy.

The factory amp output is less than that if I remember correctly, I had to wire around mine in order to get any noise over a wiper in my car.
And I think the wire does split in the kick, but you will be greeted with a huge loom so it would probably be easier to run your wire. It's a hassle but it's easier than digging through the 1.5 inch thick loom.

Your car seat's owners manual should specify an acceptable amount of play. For mine, it's less than 1" in any direction. I wasn't able to always do that with the LATCH system (at least not easily), but I can always get that with the seatbelt pretty easily by putting a knee on the car seat while feeding the seat belt back into the retractor. Of course, when using the seatbelt method, you must always remember to fully extended the seatbelt to engage the locking mechanism on the retractor.
Ohhhhh is that what the seat belts do that? I've always wondered what that was for!

Nice! I hear ya on the check cars. The interiors are disgusting! Wheel and all the controls are usually covered in lotion! Ugh!
But that's not bad at all! Considering it was less than $100

Yeah, that's one of the few reasons I haven't lifted my rig, it looks so good with the tire inside the fender wells.
But I will always love your rig, I got the chance to drive a friend's 01 xterra with alot more mods (non SC) and I still love my old pathfinder. The pathy just has such a better interior. Ride quality is about the same to me, I feel like my driving an old farm truck in both. Lol
Love the pics, what's next now that the sliders are on (and looking awesome!)?
