  1. This is really helpfull information but unfortunately I don't think i'm talented enough to pull this off. Do you think a machine shop could do this? Also where did you find the sensor and other adaptors? Through nissan or an autoparts store? If you could make me one I could send you my banjo bolt and pay you... and love you long time haha.
  2. I realise this thread is a little old, but I have a question. Do i need to make this bolt or do i just rip it out. I am a little confused because I haven't looked at this side of the transmission before. If anyone could help me out.. I just installed an tranny cooler and want to see how hot it's getting.
  3. Oh god, I'm doomed to have second hand smoke and first hand smoke in my face forever! :'(
  4. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p189/Cylops142/IMAG0248.jpg This was behind the kick plate?
  5. By the way is this, in anyway connected to my transmission? when i had this unplugged, my transmission would not shift into gear. With it, yes. I'm trying to go the cheapie route without buying a new one. i'll get myself to a junk yard before I buy a new one.
  6. Okay I took off some of the panels behind the kick plate closer to the rear side window, it has 3 screws including the ground. I took it apart can't seem to find any bad soldering, it has 2 boards on it with 2 8 pin connections. When I get home looks like I'm going to be busy. It looks brand new on the inside, straight from the factory. I'll get some pictures too
  7. Ive tried to get this whole plastic piece off, i unscrewed the bottom one off, and disconnected everything, it still wants to stay on. I routed all the window stuff to this connector that's in the picture. It would be easier to take the whole thing off if possible. I want to try what this video says to do. looks interesting
  8. This voltage amplifier is a little tricky to get off. Anybody have any tips?
  9. http://www.courtesyparts.com/28515x-amplifier-assy-auto-power-window-pathfinder-wd21-1987-1995-p-546054.html is this what i'm looking for by the way?
  10. Okay, looks like the windows both work, kinda did a bad job getting them power but that's beside the point! What's the best way of finding out if the window amplifier works? I took off one of the harnesses and checked the ohms, looks like a pretty solid connection between that and the box. It looks really confusing, it has 3 other connections to it. Maybe i just solved one of my issues.. checking which one has power and which one doesn't. I'll let you guys know what I figure out!
  11. The master switch only controls the drivers side on mine.
  12. Where would be a good place for a source of power? i was thinking on getting it straight from the battery but i don't want to have to do that. I tried putting some wire in between the cig lighter but no use.. any suggestions? Both of the windows don't work. I checked the ohms all the wires are good. I'm just about to take it to the shop haha.
  13. Both sides do not work, i'm going to buy some wire and connect it from the harness to the motor. I bet it's the relay too. Is it weird I only have 2 relays on the inner fuse box? I'm missing my EGI relay, but i have the one on the left side and the IGN 1.
  14. Hello, It's been awhile since i've posted! Here it goes, my windows do not want to roll down or up. I have tested the drivers side window with a DIMM and it's pulling or supposedly .013v dc from the door. I don't think its the switch because the passenger side doesn't work either. I need some help on trying to find some fuse or where to look where the wire is coming from. There's no fuse in the fuse box that states it's clearly for the windows. help!
  15. haha thanks for the response, do you think a solder would be hard enough, unfortunately for me I don't own a welder nor do I know anyone who does.. lol. I do like your style though.
  16. Sorry about this late response, i tried to use the spark plug trick. it turns and turns but doesn't come out. i can turn the nut anyway i want with just my fingers. Any other suggestions?
  17. Well finally got my lovely little part in from courtesy parts however, while attempting to get the old one off... well let the picture do the talking As you can see.. the bolt broke off and my sensor piece also fell off, any suggestions on taking it off?? I hope I won't have to actually take it to someone.
  18. the whole speedometer cable was cut/ripped in 2 places 1 was close to this but i thought i could just reuse this piece and use some speedo cable from another car. Just best to order the whole thing ended up being 60 bucks but now everything is fine. dummy me
  19. So on my '88 I have to bend my timing belt cover? Seems risky but why not. I have a question about this, I have an aftermarket gauge and it's mechanical, do i need a special adapter to put in? I saw that there's 2 terminals for an electrical connection coming out of this sender unit. By the way went with Equus.. http://www.equus.com/Product/6232/2''-Mechanical-Water-Temperature-Gauge Any help would be pretty incredible..
  20. God i'm a dumbass.. taking out my condenser, and my dumbass left my wrench across the damn battery.. fml

    1. Tungsten

      Tungsten

      Did the wrench melt?

    2. 1994SEV6

      1994SEV6

damn. I've seen wrenches welded to batteries like that

Do they call you Sparky now? We will.

  21. Tail fuse is fine, no problems looks fine. However I do have another weird thing. I went inside for about 15 minutes after messing with that but i left my lights on parking lights. I went in the garage a couple minutes later to smoke a cigarette but the cluster lights were on. I turned them off and tired the parking lights again no cluster lights. could this be a short somewhere? P.s on another note This tomorrow I get paid and will begin the ordering process of replacment parts! I washed my engine with gunk(covered battery, alternator, most of the cables around the cruse control). So I washed it with water on a low setting and started the engine after 20 minutes of letting is dry. Lots and lots of smoke was not a pleasant smell. Saw a lot of smoke coming from the manifold on the right side(from the engine) where the vacuum. side is on the left side. Should i replace the valve cover gaskets? Thanks guys <-- your the best.
  22. Edit: tail lights do not turn on when headlights are on, turn signals work. dome lights all work.
  23. When I get some cash scavenged up, i'm doing the whole deal, timing belt, driving belts, water pump, spark plugs(and wires),air filter, thermostat, and if it's not too hard get the oil pump replaced, and find where that leak is behind the pan. Thanks for your advice!!
  24. Okay i bought some carb cleaner sprayed it down. it starts and runs now!! however one thing i have noticed.. my lights in my cluster do not glow, all of the other lights such as break light do? Is there a fuse i should be checking. God do my normal driving lights suck too. stupid small bulbs. Can't wait for my future projects! P.s on another note, I wonder after all the money i'm about to put in this thing if I can sell it for what i put in it. Did the self ECU test got code 13 which is Engine Coolant Temperature, looks like the guys before me made an aftermarket sensor and did not do it correctly. Valve cover gaskets smoke when running and it's missing a vac. line from the motor to the air cleaner on top of the carb. How annoying
  25. which code reader do you use? I'm going to buy one.
