so today i went to taco bell got some food.... went out to start the pathy.. and nothing.. everything came on like it was supposta but no starter action.. so tried it again.. nothing.. then turned the key over and held it. for about ten seconds and the starter finally kicked in.. now it wont start again.. and need to work at 11 am tomorrow.. anything come to mind? i think its the starter.. or could it be starter relay .. ...ahhh

ya when i put my foot in it, its real gutless.. and the exhaust is got leaks cause its prob got the original exhaust manifolds and the are prob not sealed anymore.. and i plan on doing a motor swap after summer, if it lasts that long.. and as for the cat.. how do i check if its bad.. and how do i know if the o2 sensor is bad? is there a way to test it?

ya i gave it a tune up recently, plugs wires cap rotor fuel filter pcv valve. i even ran the computer and it threw out a code 55, meaning no malfunction.. BUT, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL COMES ON... hmmmmm

20 is better than the 8 im getting now.....lol ya its really sucking the gas down.. no clue why.. im going to be doing a swap after summer .. i was thinking a supercharged v6 from a 2001 frontier.. is it possble???? the car has about 260000 miles i think the motor is tired,, in my pathy

i think im going to go with the easy route and use the m30 ecu... now just need to know what car/ truck to get all the parts from to make it work, and im sure my pathy is MPFI its got 6 injectors, so i would assume it is..i did a electronic fuel injection swap on my 83 jetta it took about 4 days but it made a good 20 more horse and it redlined alot easier , and after i was done yanking out the CIS crap i had about a mile of wire i didnt need.. it didnt get great gas milage , but better than it did, i had a huge 272 cam and lightweight flywheel slammed and full exhuast and a header.

i want something easy to program, or something that makes it get at least 30 mpg,, thanks for all the info,, and ya im trying to get the dam thing to run smoother and better, with better mpg..

so i really wanna get into tweeking the computer to get better gas milage, and someone told me you can really tweek the way a engine runs with standalone. i was wondering if anyone has any info on this , i am a vw nut and this is my first nissan, and when you run standalone on a vw and get it runing right , they get crazy good gas millage and way more power cause you can mess with the fuel injection and other stuff. so i need any info,, oh and here is a website that i was told about.....http://www.diyautotune.com/

ya my 4wd shifter boot thingy is gone so i can touch the trans when driving and its pretty hot and i get a draft of hot air from the hole..no heater needed..lol

ANYONE GOT A PIC OF THE SIZE I NEED FOR THE TRANSCOOLER,, and i do need a temp gauge.. whats the hottest it should be getting

i just did a fluid and filter change, and im running a very small aftermarket trans cooler like REAL SMALL, and i notice that the tranny gets real hot and i cant even touch it.. should i upgrade to a bigger trans cooler?

so ive noticed this alot more in the last couple weeks... so ill be driving and i stop to see a trail and when i go to take off again it feels like the trans doesnt shift down to first like it should unless i give it half throttle...any ideas what it could be?

so i tried disconnecting the battery, that worked for a day ..then came back on.. im stumped

so iv done the self diagnosis from the ecu. and everything checks out, code 55 no malfuction. has anyone had the check engine light flickering probleem?.. i have no clue what to do now..any help would be thankful..lol

1990 pathy with 31 10.50 15. stock still.. love it though.. picked it up for 500 dollars. and bought the tires soon after, also got the 6000k HID kit. i had to replace the trans so got the new auto tranny for 350 bucks from a junkyard out of a 94 and i installed it in about a day and a half.. before tires new tires before HID HID installed
