  1. I'm not sure that this is the same problem? My voltage regulator was dead and my fuel and temp gauges were stuck on zero. Replaced the regulator and still my fuel gauge only goes to 7/8 when full... I guess if your voltage regulator is messed up such that it is regulating at a lower voltage it could be the problem, but that seems somewhat unlikely to me. You can measure to find out...

so far, all other gauges seem to be working.....I read the post that you linked to.....waaaaaay over my head on the soldering and voltage checking.........will just run with mileage till it quits completely!!!!!!!

  2. Mine does the same thing, its very common for pathfinders in our year. There is a voltage regulator on the back of your cluster that goes bad and gives a false reading(also does it to the temp gauge), you have to take the cluster off and replace it, or maybe the wires just need to be reconnected. A lot of people here have fixed it(I haven't yet)and they say its really easy and cheap(a trip to a radio-shack for parts).

here is the link to how to fix it, good luck!

Thanks so much!!!!! I have just been going by mileage for the time being, and that works!!!!!!

  3. My fuel gauge is not working properly.....it only goes to 3/4 when full......when I first got it a few months ago, it was sitting on E and I stopped to put fuel in it and it only took 10 gallons.......is there a fuel level sensor? Could it be that the fuel pump is about to go? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

  5. Bought a remote to go with the pathy for 35$ from ebay from Midwest Wireless?

So i shut all doors and lock them (horn is missing from my alarm system for some reason) but the system beeps slowly.. i push my lock button, interior and exterior lights come on for as long as im holding the button and it holds the tone for as long as im holding it. i let go itdoes the prompting beeps.. and.. now i turn the key on then off, get out. push the lock button..and nothing. Any ideas? i straightened up my antenna for it.. Thanks! Im guessing i may have a bad relay/fuse somewhere..

I'm having a bit of the same problem.....installed just a keyless entry system from Bulldog.....very simple to do......it worked for about a day and then quit......I Googled it and found that it could possibly be the door lock timer.....it is located in the left rear quarter......I still have to go to a junk yard to try to get another one as a new one from Nissan is between 65 and 80 bucks........on a positive note, it will lock the doors remotely, LOL!!!!

  6. I was lucky and picked up a Connex 3300 HP-ZX (an export radio) with a Road King mic for $40 at a pawn shop....the pawn shop guy didn't know what he had......the mic alone was worth $40 used.

A plain Cobra 25 or 29 will do just fine on the trails and on the highway, but whatever you get, take it to a well known CB shop and have them peak and tune it for you.....that will ensure that you are getting the most from your radio.

I'm with everyone else on the coax and the antenna.....make sure that you have good quality coax and that your antenna is tuned properly, if not, it could burn out your radio. I am partial to the Francis line of antennas. A good mic is hard to beat too, I would recommend a Road King 56, but any high quality noise canceling mic will work.

Currently I am running the Connex 3300 HP-ZX with a Road King mic and a 5 and a half foot Francis fiberglass whip. My SWR's are about 1.1 and the system altogether puts out about 60 watts. Not only do I use mine on the trail, but I also keep it on when traveling. You'd be surprised how friendly the truckers are if you just talk to them, they have saved me many a ticket.....a CB sometimes works better than a radar detector.....hehehehehe!!!!!

  7. another question, probably for another post, but I'm gonna ask it here anyway.......does anyone know how much more flex I can get in the rear if I remove the sway bar......and, well, I guess this is a two part question......how it would affect normal highway or in town driving???

  8. Currently running Mesa A/P 31X10.50s on Rock Crawler Series 52 Flat Black Powder Wheel 15X8 with 3.75 BS........Just put the new rims on yesterday.....with them the tires stick out about 1.75-2 inches more than the stock Leggos......I measured the Leggos and they were 15X7 with about 5.25 BS.

'Bout to do some fender trimming as well as do some trimming to the air dam in the front!!!!!! Got some rubbing when at full turn!!!!
