This is the grill I got off the 87.....gonna use it to swap out and confuse people.....
finished as much of the storage box in the cargo area....looked at it and studied and pondered on how I am gonna put some kind of drawer system in there...
cleaned all the trash out and vacuumed the whole thing out....
-
I will take one, just let me know when they are ready and how to pay.....shipping will be to 71037!!!
-
-
swapped out the stock bolts on the upper control arms for longer ones so the alignment will be easier.....
-
Time to buy a DUKW! in all seriousness good luck and stay dry.
I took off the pointless kayak racks I put on Saturday as I might have them sold (and have no use for them anyway).
I might need the kayak u didnt have to go in those racks!!! LOL

I finished yanking the trans out, that is one big chunk of iron! I've pulled transmissions out of half ton trucks that weren't that big. With only 116K I'm sure its the factory clutch, it said nissan on it, but it looked brand new and clean. I never pulled a clutch that was that clean. Pilot bearing was bone dry but the input shaft wasn't galled at all. Now that I have the trans out sitting on the side of the truck it's supposed to storm really bad for the next few days so it looks like I'm done for now.
Both my trans mount and motor mounts are good. I was hoping one of them was bad letting the trans move and popping it out of third gear. Since it's out I may pull the case off and see if I can find anything wrong inside. Between that and the broken bolts in the exhaust, it will be a while before she is rolling again.
James
Hey, I'm looking at the weather and we are supposed to get 6-8" up here on the north side....we don't need it....I know you guys down there really don't need it...stay afloat my friend, stay afloat!!!
-
got the old door gutted and everything put on the new door and got it hung!!!! next up, the new bolts for the UCAs and the bumper and new old blinkers....
-
Scored a driver door(in the right color even!!).....while looking for blinkers, found a really cool grill from an 87 two door!!!!! will edit in a little while with pics of the grill...oh, and I got the blinkers, too!!!
-
I was going to start pulling the trans to change the pilot bearing but it started raining and wouldn't stop. She is sitting in around 3" of water on my slab in the back yard. Worst flood we had in 20 years. The town of Carencro is flooded bad, I think everyone got water in there house. They even had to close Interstate 10 for a while.
James
Just saw that on the news.....hope ya'll don't float away down there....we only got 4-6 inches here in Bossier....the weather man just said 15-18 inches down there with you.....keep the pirogue handy my friend!!!
-
Hahahaha ya that is pretty bad. After work today I'll be bleeding my clutch system, changing break pads that I've had in the back seat for a month, changing the oil and cleaning the air filter. Hooray for daylight savings time!
Nothing quite that extravagant for me.....just gonna finish up the storage box in the rear cargo area!!!!! And yes, Daylight savings time is a wonderful thing!!!

You know it's getting bad when your wife sends you a text at work to ask what you're gonna do to your Pathy when you get home!!!!!

Building a new back deck/box.......here's some pics
what not to have happen with your back deck!!!

scored a right rear window..the one with the Pathfinder sticker on it and a center A/C vent thingy for $20.....whooo hooooo!!!!! Everything is coming together and Elizabeth should be back on the road in a couple of weeks....only thing left is a windshield!!!
Got the $20 Maxi alty installed....works like a champ!!!!! Thanks to the write up on here the install was somewhat painless....damn these big hands...had to get the wife to help get a couple of the bolts started!!! Got the window area on the right rear prepped and ready for the new to me window......Got the A/C vent thingy installed, too!!! now there isn't a piece of wood holding the vents in place!!!!!!
She's coming together nicely!!!!!

Damn could I abuse on that statement! My wife really knows better than saying that! Lol! The first thing I would need to keep me happy would be a Barret M82A1!
James
Yeah, I like the M82A1 too, but the squirrels.....fur don't taste so good!!!!! Tools and parts, not anything!!!!! LOL!!!
-
must be gaulded on, nothing like having a good excuse to buy more tools though!
exactly, so far, the wife has let me get whatever I want for the Pathy....she says if it keeps me happy.......
-
For the alty pully? Just zip the nut off (impact makes this process simple) and the pully comes right off.
nope, the damn pully is stuck on the Maxi alty!!! But I got everything done and ready for the AM...will be hitting the Harbor Freight sidewalk sale in the morning first thing!!!
-
Scored a 90 amp Maxima alternator for $18.86 at the local pick a part.....had it tested and it's good... ...now I gotta go pick up a pully puller from Harbor Freight and do the swap tomorrow......
-
Walked in the garage and said hi to her
-
Last night, I got the 3" UCAs installed but was too pooped afterward to crank the bars.....will do that after work today!!!!! Also, picked up a new PCV valve and will replace that this evening too!!!!!
-
ordered my AC UCAs they should be here Tuesday and the lift will be complete!!!!!
just got the email....they have shipped!!!!!
-
carried back the incorrect JGC springs (they were in the floorboard and I grabbed them and ran.....of course it was too good to be true and they were not the right ones) and found another yard with the right springs......2 hours later.....we were leaving and I was beat. Got home and got them installed and they give me 3 full inches!!!!! Yea me!!!! Also got the tension rod installed on the left front lower control arm. Torsion bars are gonna have to wait till tomorrow to get cranked.....will edit tomorrow with pics.......now to get her back on the road following the roll over , I still need to have a windshield installed, and she should be back in business.
not today, but in the last week, I put in the Optima Yellow Top, replaced the right rear seat belt, trimmed the front fenders in preparation for the 33s...my son is excited as he will get my 31s for his Heep.
I think that is all for now!!! Tired, bath and bedtime!!!
-
So that is a doe with horns? She has two racks!
James
Might just be a horny split tail!!!
-
Make sure they are from a V8 cherokee. If you have a pair of calipers the wire diameter should measure around .6. The L6 GJC wire diameter isn't much larger than our factory springs and won't give you much lift at all.
James
Gotcha, James.....got a pair of calipers yesterday and am going back to the j/y on Saturday....Thanks for the warning!!!!
-
You want the front springs.
Thanks.....I found a pair in a j/y for 40$.....a deal for me!!!!!

This Video from the Panhard drop fabricator should answer that.
And, no, you're thinking of the rear sway bar.
