  1. I guess I'm too late now, but I would say disconnect the battery for a bit and see if you can reset the comp. I would also say, I know nothing.
  2. We were ice fishing in North Bay -42 celcius with winds and all. When its really cold my truck loves to lock itself (really annoying since I only have 1 key). Well, we woke up the second morning and my path and 1 other guy on the lake were the only ones to have vehicles start, so as I was letting my truck warm up, the door slamed shut and locked itself, truck still running. Took about 10 mins to find a coat hanger, and another 30 to unlock the door. Everything kept slipping because of the cold, but at least the truck was warm. Went to jump my buddies civic, the windsheild washer fluid line snapped because it was so cold, with the winter fluid in it, crazy.
  3. The spray can stuff goes on pretty easy. I just used some to paint my skid plate, not too expensive either. Under $10+taxes
  4. "auto check report not available"
  5. I went over some train tracks and this happened to me while I was driving up to the ski hill. It turned out to be my torsion bar adjuster, the bar itself was fine. I think it was around $150-200.... but I might have had other work done too, I remember it not being anything crazy expensive. Good luck man.
  6. Not that i've seen, and when I did my search, any link I clicked seemed to be broken since the forum moved sites.
  7. Do you also have the external bottom weather stripping, the piece that always rusts out?
  8. I've been thinking about doing a lift on my truck. Is one better than the other or is it more of a cost thing? I've never had a lifted truck before and dont know much about it, any info would be great. Thanks.
  9. No, it's still a pretty enjoyable ride, no real bounce. But the suspension lift is something that I might look into, unless a lot of people say body lift is superior.
  10. If no one else does I can measure it out tomorrow. Im just on my way to work now. And it is stock UCA's.
  11. Working on painting my skid plate to finally put it back on the truck.
  12. If I were to put in shocks made for a lift without changing the UCA would it damage them? I'm on the fence about doing a 2" sus lift. Or are body lifts better?
  13. Yes its a hole. And the rust proofing we use always stays wet. So when it got layered on two years in a row it could have been becuase the layer under was still wet. I often spray out my rails and the water comes out clear.
  14. Either than the rubber being warn, everything was tight, just looks horrible, and rust proofed. I'm just thinking, the bushings might be on th last legs, and I'd rather do the work in the summer than HAVE to in the winter. Thanks Adam
  15. Background: I've been getting a clicking noise from the passenger front while making right hand turns, or hard lefts. Nothing from the driverside. So today I jacked it up and took off the wheel to take a look. None of the bolts were loose that I tried. And the cv boots were in pretty good shape. I reapplied grease to the turn stops (but that's a different noise I'm used to). On a guess I looked at the body bolt, right behind the wheel, and it was really loose. I took it for a drive and didn't notice a clicking anymore. But at looking at the condition of my suspension, is it time to replace it all? Sorry for the long post.
  16. When it doesnt click, do all the lights turn off? You might be looking at a grounding problem.
  17. Do you have a picture of your truck? Hard luck man.
  18. 95 XE 174,500kms. Original paint, still shines. Runs way better than when I bought it at 134,000kms.
  19. That's a pretty personal question. If you have the spare $$ laying around and space to house a parts truck then you could always go look at it before buying it; see what shape the parts are in that you would want. I don't know about where you live, but you would basically get $300 from a scrap yard anyways here, so as long as you pull $150 in parts, you could be ahead of the game. But, IMO its more of a personal question that you need to think about. (These trucks are pretty comfy to sleep in )
  20. I was wondering if anyone had the specs for the rear bumper on a 95, the mounting points, rear end width etc. Thanks guys.
  21. Last time i was having a problem with my rpm it was chugging on the 401, and turned out to be an 02 sensor. I dont really think that it the same issue you are having, but you never know. When was the last time they were replaced?
  22. Im pretty sure rockauto has wheels for a wd21, take a look at their site.
  23. There are adhesion sprays that you can buy for this sort of thing. I'd probably sand it with a really high grade paper, the use the spray before painting. I just painted a chrome grille and my only suggestion would be to MAKE sure you touch every part, I missed about an inch and the paint wouldn't stick.
