  1. Lock me in for the 14th. 2 cars. can't wait!!!
  2. great website for comparing tire sizes. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
  3. I'm down. I might bring a friend so we'll be two cars.
  4. I can't find the strut spacers on the RuggedRoads website. Where can you get them for $40? We have strut spacers for the R50 here in Australia fabricated by Snake Racing, but it's $250!!!
  5. Very interested to see photos of the finished results!! Good choice on the OME's by the way. ps. what spacers are you talking about? Wheel spacers or Spring Spacers? I'd be interested in front and back Spring Spacers.
  6. When will we be returning? Can I bring friends?
  7. you were dead right about the front Rancho struts. they've failed on me only a few months after installation!!!! i have emailed mike@4x4parts regarding the issue but have had no response as yet (1 week later) Warning to all... buyer beware when looking at RANCHO front struts from 4x4parts.com
  8. i wouldn't expect any change in the MPG or performance until you modify the whole system... IE. Air intake, Extractors (headers) AND Exhuast. Air in, Air out.... once you get this sorted then you should notice considerable changes in performance at least.
  9. Brilliant thanks mate!!! I've been looking for a cold air intake system for the R50!! So simple, yet effective
  10. thanks for the pictures!! I didn't realise you can attach the cooler to the condenser. Also, mine already seems to have a stock factory cooler, so I think I'll leave it there and add another one in series. Do you just add more transmission fluid to system, or do you have to flush the whole thing?
  11. Sounds sweet... do you have any pictures??
  12. that was crazy cool!! I must admit i think i'd prefer the sand dunes over the mud though.
  13. Great work... but does that apply to Australian RHD cars as well? =] also pics please
  14. Thanks for the welcome and the comments!!! I mentioned the petrol because it was one of the selection criteria... regardless of whether i was going to buy a pathfinder or something else (hilux / patrol etc).. kinda seems stupid now though haha. We caught about 25 Sand whiting that day, also cleaned, gutted and shallow fried them that day !!! The struts have already cleared Australian customs and i'm now waiting for them to arrive. I did some review searches on the Rancho's and the only negative comments i found came from the rears... hence picking the bilsteins for the rears.
  15. Ok reporting for duty... I was here a few months ago sussing out the pathfinder and different models and mods that could be done, and I finally got the one I wanted... a R50 Pathfinder with TJM? bullbar and towbar, petrol. I'm not sure if its sitting on lifted springs or not... but I'm comfortably running 31" (265/70/16) A/T tyres on it. I have been told they are Lovells' (because they are blue) and they are lifted. I would guess a 30mm lift max in that case. Either way... my plans are: Rancho RSX17000 Front Struts (ordered from 4x4parts.com) Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks (ordered from 4x4parts.com) Pedders 2" lifted springs (still deciding on these) Extractors (Headers) - wish list Exhaust System (Cat back high flow) Ok and now for some pictures Some fun at Alkimos, Perth Western Australia I hate being the lead car ...All good now Easter Camping trip down to Conto / Point Rd Boranup Beach... via "Bob's Track" Augusta, WA Augusta, WA that's all for now. See you all around!
  16. Nah its up in Alkimos area. Mundaring sounds good... will let ya's know
  17. nice rig. Can i ask what the "AC" means when people say AC 2" lift?
  18. haha still here. I don't think Australia got the VQ35DE, even for the 2001 model up. AFAIK Only the VG33 here unfortunately. We went to the playground again today. My mate bought a Holden Jackaroo (Isuzu/Chevy Trooper) earlier this week so we put it to the test. Great power!! just needs better tyres. More pictures, sorry for lack of Pathy pics.
  19. Hey peeps. I've just checked into this forum. Hoping to buy a Pathfinder soon. It'll be my first 4X4. I've been looking around online and the parts don't seem that easy to come by. Maybe I just don't know what to look for yet. I'm looking at buying a 2000/2001 R50. My plans are to give it a 2" lift. I like to DIY, (ie save money where i can) and put some bigger shoes on. Can you fit 31/10.5-15 tyres with only a 2" lift and no other mods? <-- i still know nothing about tyres/wheels
  20. looks great!! How high is the lift? edit: sorry i didn't see the second page. I'm trying to see what I need to buy to DIY it.
  21. great to meet someone local!! My house is getting built in Hammond Park and nearing completion, so will be quite close to Kwinana. =] Any good local places to source parts from? Or do you do what we do in the Bimmer world and buy everything online from the states? ps. will be heading down for a beach run near Alkimos area this Saturday around lunch time-ish with a few mates in their forbi's
  22. Hi all I haven't bought my Pathy yet, but am very excited about it. I'm currently looking at 2000/2001 Pathfinder R50. I'm taking my time with the research to find out exactly what I want, and then to find it. I would be using it as a daily drive, weekend offroading on mainly sand-dunes, and hopefully pulling a ski-boat. I guess the first things I would look into are a Suspension Lift and bigger tyres. I know y'all love photos, so here is my current ride... 2007 BMW 335i Coupe Eibach Lowered Suspension, VMR V701 Wheels, Injen Dual Cone Intake See ya's round. Pete
