  1. I had a buddy that was having all sorts of charging issues on his truck. turned out it was a loose cable. Make sure all of your connections are snug. He had some power wire that I think went to the alternator that was coming apart. Maybe one of yours is coming loose as it heats up.
  2. Thanks! Yeah the rear tire carrier sure is convenient. If it makes you feel better I have to buy all new tires tomorrow. Seems the used ones I bought were all dry rotted. I am going with BFG A/T same size as these. Still $300 is a good deal for just the rims. Now I will be paying close to $900 for tires
  3. Sadly I did not measure the truck before I did the lift but I went from stock saggy springs and 30 inch tires to the OME springs and 32s. It is safe to say I got in the neighborhood of 3 inches overall. I have heard people getting anywhere from 1.25 to 2 inches with OME. I guess it all depends how bad your stock springs are. I did the cheap lift. I only bought the coils. It cost me $330 shipped. Rugged rocks <- This is the site I got them from. If you are not the type to do this work yourself you may want to wait till you can do it all (springs and shocks/struts) at once and save on labor. Oh and thanks for the nice words about the pathy. I really love the way she rides now!
  4. I towed a honda crv on a uhaul car dolly about 100 miles with my R50. She did fine.
  5. Finally got the fenders up front cut. Took about 2 inches off on each side. I have complete clearance all the way around now. I also measured. Truck sits at 35 and 1/4 inches from ground to fender now at all 4 tires.
  6. Thank you. I need to take measurements this week. The one bad thing is with the tires being used I am not sure how long they have been sitting. I had a blow out last night on one and already had to replace it. So I will probably wind up replacing them all at some point. The cool thing is the truck barely budged when the tire blew. I was doing over 50 mph too. These springs are working out quite nice.
  7. That might be something I look into. There is a number of 4x4 shops in town.
  8. I can imagine. I just need to learn how to weld or find a shop in town to throw them on.
  9. Yeah I really am. I want to get at least the mid skid plate and a set of rock sliders on it before I get too bold though.
  10. Yeah I did it with a buddy. took about 6 hours. Mostly due to us wanting to pass out half way through. I live in Phoenix.
  11. I chose the R50 because I own one and I am a loyalist.
  12. lol I guess that would have made for a better pic.
  13. I cannot wait till I can post pics like yours lol! I am a few mods away from that though.
