  1. Actually the r50 oil filter bracket that is bolted to the r50 oil pump fits completely fine in a wd21. It clears the center link and steering damper with either the stock 4x4 steering OR the 2wd swap steering. I know this becase I am running a r50 vg33 plus r50 accessories in my wd21. I also run the short steering stops for max steering angle and zero contact issues.

The problem with the r50 oil filter adapter bracket is that it is physically fatter where it bolts to the oil pump which doesn't allow enough room for the alternator to maintain its position when using factory or (w)d22 accessory layout. If you use the r50 accessories which swap the p/s pump and alternator locations and make a custom low profile bracket for the p/s pump then it all fits perfectly.

Just wanted to clear up the fitment issues

  2. ISO is an "image" file. It is a one file representation of a dvd or cd discs contents. It is an exact replica of an original hard copy. To mount an ISO you want to run daemon tools (free software) or equivalent which will generate a false software version of a disc drive that will appear internally in your "Computer" folder in Windows. This allows your computer to think you just put the actual cd/dvd into a physical disc drive without actually having a disc or a drive. It all happens internally inside the computer on a logical level.

  3. Was just surprised by my girlfriend with a new (to me) 1991 pathfinder SE for my college graduation present! So unbelievably appreciative, i am a lucky man. It is a black pathy with grey interior (what ive always wanted), with sunroof, LSD, rear discs, a bunch of poly bushings just done, nice stereo, snorkel, a trailmaster 4" suspension lift with brand new shocks and best of all, the body has VERY little rust and the frame is 100% immaculate. I went over it with a fine-toothed comb and there isnt one rusty or weak spot on it. Pretty rare for a west coast truck. Still immaculate powder coat all the way down. This one is the keeper, im never getting rid of it!

Plans now are to swap in the 3" body lift, custom 3" suspension lift and all the other goodies from my old truck over to this one, oh yeah, and the VG33E swap and associated parts from my other truck. I am seriously a happy man today! Good chance that custom rear lower control arms are in the agenda now since the rear will be sitting at about 7" of suspension lift! Pictures will follow suit!

  4. It's easy to pull out, not as easy to put back in. It's actually less work to swap the one from your other truck over...but... why do you say it needs replacing? Does it make any noise or otherwise drive improperly? A tiny bit of rotational play in yhe driveshaft likely wont ruin your day if its that small and you don't have any other issues?

  5. I would personally just swap out the whole axle...look around. I ended up finding a great shape low KM rear axle from a pathy with a rotten frame. Went from open diff/drum brakes to LSD/disc brakes. The swap took literally about 3 hours after the brakes were bled and it only cost me 50$.

  6. Oem for the 94-95 years was Bosch. That's what I've pulled out of both my wd21s. The ngk ones work great and they are cheaper too lol.

Well that makes sense as my pathys are 93 and they had a rusted old ngk with a Nissan stamp on it when I pulled them out. Guess Nissan switched to Bosch with the round dash trucks!

  7. I would use only ngk for the o2 sensor. Even though it is just a discrete sensor (on/off), the set point reliability of the ngk is oem spec. Ngk supplied the factory pathy sensor. I got mine and my gfs for about 50$ shipped for the direct fit. The splice in models would work just fine as well, just make sure they are ngk. Bosch would probably be fine as well since they supplied the oem vg30de o2 sensors.

  8. Just fyi I always grease both the inside and outside diameter of engine and transmission seals when I install them, for both reasons mentioned here. Been doing it this way for years without issue and that's how I was taught to do it by a mechanic of 50 years. My 2 c.
