I might be interested in it...

So I have noticed that RockyRoad has a trimpacker that gives a 9/16" boost, but I also know that Nx4 makes the 1" spacers. I have read what was written in the past but I never found any real comparison between the two sets. If you have either set currently installed can you fill me in on how you like it? I also understand that I will need longer hardware if I install the spacers? I just received new kyb gr2's and am still waiting on the coils and shocks so I have time to do some research and see what you guys think.

Yeah you can tell a little bit of a difference. I will start looking into adding those to the lift. Thanks for the pictures
-
you have any pictures of before and after the leveling spacers were installed? you might convince me to go ahead and put some in while it's apart.
-
Nice combo. your truck looks good by the way. Are leveling spacers really needed, or only if you have a lot of extra weight in the front?
-
Do you have any rubbing with the 32" now?
-
Yeah I will have 15" wheels. I'm getting some black steel pro comps to fit the lift.
-
Trimming plastic is not a problem. I was just trying to see I guess what is more common.
-
So I already have the 2" lift, just haven't installed it yet and am shopping for some tires to match. Should i go with the 32/11.5 or 31/10.5? I would prefer the 32's but are they practical without "modifying" the truck?

Still have P0136 code after replacing sensor?
HitMan replied to HitMan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I only replaced the Passenger side's. I'm thinking that I just need to go ahead and replace the drivers side, even though the ECU is only registering a sensor malfunction on the passenger side. It's got me stumpped! -
Still have P0136 code after replacing sensor?

So I reset the system and today coming home from work the check engine light came back on...The same code (p0136). Any other ideas of what to do? -

I'm gonna reset the system and see if the code comes up tomorrow while I'm running around. I'll update as to what happens... -

I can do that tonight and I will see what happens tomorrow. Thanks -
Still have P0136 code after replacing sensor?
HitMan replied to HitMan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I have an OBD2 scanner and I did erase the code. I probably drove about 50miles and then it came back on. Also I could have sworn that bank one sensor 2 is the passenger side... I did a lot of searching before I went ahead and changed it and the general consensus is that it is the passenger side post cat. But now that the code came back up I think its the driver's side. I went by this diagram: The left and the right sensors are both the same on my truck, but the driver side is just longer than the passenger's. Fishing those wires through the engine bay is a freakin pain in the butt too. I even have access to a lift which I thought would make it easier to change but I ended up having to pick the truck up and down several times to fish the wire correctly. -
So here's the deal. Several months ago I received a p0136 code (o2 sensor malfunction, bank1 sensor 2) and did the normal thing and just ignored it for a little while then tried the cheap options to fix it. I took the sensor out and cleaned it, reset the code, and then sure enough within a few days the check engine light would come back on. So just this week I finally broke down and bought a new o2 sensor and replaced it, since state inspection is coming up. I replaced the right side after the cat. I hope I'm not retarded or something and replaced the wrong one? I replaced the knock sensor about a year ago as well and everything else is in working order. The truck has 174k so I figured the sensor would need to get replaced anyway. But sure enough today the same code came back up (p0136) after I already replaced it! Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? No other code comes up either.

Happens to me every winter. The first time it happened my passenger window just never went down. I thought I was going to have to buy a new motor, but as soon as spring came around, it just started to work again. Don't know what causes it but I just lock my windows in the winter so when someone gets in they don't roll it down and let it get stuck.

I have the 3.3L and I pull a trailer often. I don't know if it has ever been over 4500lbs, but I have never had a problem with it. I imagine the 3.5 will handle it even better. I have even pulled a 4000lb trailer for over 10hrs straight, and had no problems at all. On a windy day the knock sensor can go off, but I replaced mine and it hasn't gone off since.

Thanks for the help. They do look pretty awesome. I have a few jeep friends that have HID's as well and they are much brighter, but not too obnoxious. They also have the problem of them not coming on sometimes and never could figure out why. I'm gonna look into it more before I do anything.
-
I know this is old news, but I was wondering if anyone actually has HID's on their R50? I think it would look sweet but I was gonna see what you guys think before I do anything.
-
Hella 500's are always a safe bet and plenty bright, but if you want a real spot light go for the pencil beams. They cost a bit more but are really worth it. They also have the 1000ff which are even more of a step up. I personally have 500ff on the front of mine and they are really bright, but I also plan on mounting some on the roof once I get my rack installed. I plan on doing 2 Hella pencil beams and 2 Hella 1000ff on the roof.

Thanks! I'll do that.

sorry I haven't really done too much research on it yet, as in I haven't measured the backspacing or know the rim width yet. I'll go check it out tomorrow ,but I have looked into buying spacers and it can be about the same cost as new steel rims. Maybe I'll just go with a steel rim offset correctly so I don't have any rubbing or have to deal with "making it fit". Thanks everyone for the advice, but I do want to stick with a 15" rim because the tires are cheaper that way.
-
So before installing the lift I want to know if you can still use the stock rims on the R50 if you use spacers? If so what size spacer do I need to get to keep the stock rim? I am going to be upgrading to a 32" tire. Do you guys think I'm better off just getting new rims or going with the spacers? The reason I want to keep the stock ones is because I like the 15" rim and it makes the truck still look stock.

I was also wondering, can you use the KYB shocks in the rear? Has anyone tried this?
