  1. Ya I agree they are too big, thanks for the part numbers ill call around and see who can get them for me. I was also talking to my mechanic shop today and he said he can sell line by the foot and I can just bring it home and fit it then he will put the ends on it for me.
  2. After doing some research Im going to have to agree with you guys on the rubber hose sucks part. The hose thats decent is stuff used for heavy machinery, but it's to pricey and too big. Ill look around at some local part stores and see if they have any hard line in roles.
  3. Thats a great deal , and ya I tore all 3 out so im going to need all 3 lol. Thanks for the info ill just go to my friendly neighborhood nissan dealer then
  4. Ya ive been taking a lot of pictures. Any recommendations on good rubber fuel line? Im not going with metal to much work and money. I got rid of the old ones today they were really bad.
  5. Ya that's my "I just tore my Pathy in half and only have my mother minivan to drive now" face. Okay I will just take a ton of pictures. Before I do anything else I will take pictures so it can be seen as original form. On the to do list today, removing the old fuel lines.
  6. Thanks guys, and yes it's amazing how easy it is to work on it like this. If you have access to a large tractor and take your time this can be done with not to much effort. My Pathy had a ton of rust and everything was corroded so it took a while. B, just tell me what specific areas you want pictures of and ill send them on s CD. Don't worry about money, I might need some little part some time and your advice is worth a million bucks! Heres a picture for everyone haha
  7. Hey guys I know it's been a while since my update but I got some great news. Shortly after announcing this project I had to stop do to other pressing matters but this morning I got the body and frame seperated and am well on my way. It went pretty wellw hen you have the help of a large tractor.
  8. Dam I thought my rust was bad lol , but it looks sick
  9. How big and wide of a tire could you go on those Cragars without problems?
  10. The first time I went to put my Pathy in 4x4 low the truck wasn't even on. They guy hadn't used that gear for ever and I had to put all my weight on the transfer case shifter to get it to go down and in. Now it works perfect every time.
  11. How much you want for the 95 Pathfinder one?
  12. Dam I didn't know it was that easy, I was looking at air horn kit's on the net and they are 200+. Ill have to put that stuff down on my Junkyard list.
  13. The inside almost looks liks the one in the 88 Subaru I had. I wouldn't mind putting an air horn on my Pathy, did you make that air system yourself? That looks like a Craftsman air tank lol?
  14. Ya im also doing a low budget ( hoping to do most of the work myself. ) What stage are you on now? Im going to start disconnecting things from my frame and body. I have the wooden frame made around it and will hopefully be having the body off within the week.
  15. Ya I'm gunna set it down on something else. Hopefully something that has wheels so I can roll it around and bring it to my dads or anywhere else I need to put it.
  16. Ya sandbags are a good idea. My plan for that rust is remove as much of it as I can. Replace metal if needed. Then apply the special inhibitor paint. Then rubber undercoat over it.
  17. I built my wooden structure. Took me half a day almost. I still need to add some more support to the structure but ill do that when im ready for lift off. Heres some pics
  18. Okay guys today I am goignt o build the wooden A frames around my Pathy so I can lift it off. One question though, what are the best lift points? I need to know so I can position my wood supports around that area. I thinking one up front and the other a strap going threw the passenger windows?
  19. I don't think he has the suspension in on the back yet, that's why it's sitting low. Amazing job so far though/
  20. Well I personally like the older Pathfinders. They are a true SUV. You put it side by side with a newer one and you can't help to notice that it looks like it's going to do a lot more for you. I just like the older styling ( It really is an SUV ) How ever newer vehicles are nice to have to. Not a lot of problems, better engineered ( Most of the time haha )
  21. The part of the frame that the bumper bolts were attached to was so rusty that it broke apart when I turned the bumper bolts. Now the peice of the frame around the bolts spins freely when I turn the bolts lol Heres the hitch and brackets
  22. Ya I cut the head off lol, I had to do that with half of the trailor hitch bolt's. ( I broke the other half ) I am going to leave my back bumper until the body is off because it's so rusty back there nothing going to happen. On a side not if anyone wants to buy my hitch and front bumper you can go for. They arn't rusted out, just some surface, they need a a good sand a paint. You will need new bolts but I got the brackets.
  23. Update on the project. I am about ready to start disconnecting things for the body lift off. I still havn't decided wether I should use the tractor to lift it off. Or build a wooden structure and do it that way. I know its important to lift level and the tractor might put to much stress on the body. I have the interior gone now and I have a good look at the front part of the floors. It's worse then I thought. There is a whole around the passenger body mount. If I take off the heat shield on the drivers side there will be no floor lol. I striped a bolt head on the front bumper and can't get it off. I tried pretty much everything and busted my knuckle in the process. I don't know if ill be able to get that sucker off, it's the only one left too!! Heres a link to some more pictures. http://picasaweb.google.ca/110474407708868683434/ProjectEagleFinderWeek2# At this point any advice about things to do leading up to taking the body off would be appreciated greatly
  24. Im not much ahead of you, I plan on doing a body off ( My frame needs major fixing ) I read in your Bio that you tuned Subarus. I used to have a 1988 Subaru Dl that my father and I restored. Im actually really pissed I sold it lol.
