i went from 31x10.5 to 33x10.5 on my yota and i noticed it a lot so gas mileage aint nothing im used to 15 mpg but i kinda want to get rid of 31x15 on my pathy and maybe going smaller but not sure

well i think i have a problem my belt was so loose and it was kinda going up and down i have the covers off. but is the spring supposed to be behind that bolt ???

so if the pulley with the timing marks is put on wrong you wont beable to set timing?

2 doors look way cooler would be better if they were convertible like the 4 runner but anyways im a big guy and i been in the back its convertible and not to hard to get out and the 4 doors have that hump cause the wheel wheel but 2 door for sure and 4 door for the family my opinion but did you ever get a rig yet?

Na i rather have some ome rear coil springs but thats me , do you like the air shock for offroading?

if you get the rear springs let me know if they do give you 1.5 or even .75 inch of a lift cause i need to do something for my rear with my tbars cranked and jgc give to much for a stocker i dont like the prerunner look and i dont like the stink bug either i just want my rig to sit level

i measured about 13mm of flex and im pretty sure my tensioner was way too tight cause i was tinkering with the tensioner for about 1.5 hours and i got it to not make a whine it seems loose but i looked up on youtube an d i saw way looser belts then mine so i think its good now well i hope it is.

its a new tensioner i just think i have the belt a little to tight cause i loosened it and it went away but my friend said when i reved it up it was kinda flappy and i dont know if thats good cause i dont want it to jump a tooth. is there a way to check the deflection of the belt?

hey guys i been battling this high pitched whine after i installed my new timing belt and tensioner, and its starting to get me mad cause it been messing with it for the last 2 weeks but anyways i dont want to leave the belt to loose and skip a teeth and i dont want to belt to tight and whine all the time. i did read the docs write up and i have it at the 5 oclocl position and it almost bends 90 degrees can anyone help me out and let me know what i can do to make the whine go away and tell me how to check the tesnion on my timing belt. any input would help so thanks guys,,andy ps sorry if i made to many threads on my timing belt questions

thanks man but yeah i dont want to snap it or skip teeth cause i need to sell it and my 85 yota so i can buy a 99 pathy well thats what i plan

yeah it was the lower piece hitting but 2 people told me it could be the tensioner is too tight, so i might tear it apart this weekend again and run it with no covers and see if its the tensioner or the covers and try to tweak them straight or something cause its a high pitched whine

yeah i.m probably going to take the covers off in a couple of days and probably check it out but im burnt out of it been messing with it all weekend.

yeah a junk yard would be ideal but it would be a pita to just get the covers but thanks for the info on the dealer info but do any of you guys think it could be something else besides the covers? i know u cant hear it but any suggestions

hey whats up guys so i been working on changing my T belt and first time i had a nasty squeal grind noise so i tore it all back apart in like 1 hour then but it back together and the lower cover was bent a little rubbing on the crank pulley so now 2nd time checking it out and now it has a high pitch queal like a s/c this belt job has been kicking my butt . is there any site you can buy new timing covers? cause i looked for 30 mins cant find one but if anyone knows where to find new ones please let me know thanks andy

alright cool i got scared for a second but thanks for the help appreciate it a lot now when i get off work ill check to see if the marks line up cause i want to drive my pathy again lol
