  1. Today, I tried to find a label or something in the engine compartment. I didn't find anything. I think I will put 5L in my MT and that's it. What could be wrong if I put too much oil?
  2. Hello everybody, it's time to change the manual transmission oil. I own a Terrano after the inscriptions and registration but after some VIN decoders it's a Pathfinder. How could I know what version of MT it has? I have a Chilton repair manual for Datsun/Nissan Pick-up and Pathfinder 1970-1989 and it doesn't say anything about that issue but it says all of the Pathfinders 1986-1989 with VG30I have FS5R30A 5 speed transmission. I didn't hear any suspect noise coming from the MT in any gear. What I have to do? 3,6 L or 5,1 L?
  3. In my parking area, are some trees which make small leaves and flowers. When they are dry enough they fall on to my car and come in to grilles. That tree makes flowers for tea (I don't know the translation name). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tilia-cordata2.JPG I tried to glue an insects net on the back but the material of the grille is hard to glue.
  4. The metal ones look nice but frequently you will need to clean that area and it's difficult to remove the adhesive tape each time. I bought those clips for mine and I'm very happy to have the possibility to clean safe and easy. http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Cowl_Grille_Retainers_Nissan_p/pas1756-25.htm
  5. I have done a complete test on my truck and the only problem was translated in code 55. But I found that means no problem. I was shocked to find that especially if that truck was very poor cared during the last 10 years and I think I'm lucky.
  6. My car is from '89 and it has the same wiring as the file attached. Could be a difference between european and american harness version.
  7. http://rapidshare.com/files/412087718/EL.pdf That could help in some way. Unfortunately that file will be available only for 10 downloads.
  8. Nice work but what are you gonna do with the number plate and its lights?
  9. Hi Cristian, so I'm not the only one from Romania.
  10. I bought my truck for 2.000 Euro, I have spent 2.700 Euro to make it work well. I hope to keep it 10 years more. I don't think I will be so cruel to take it to the car destroyer until it will die. BTW where I can find a Npora sticker or two? http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt163/camsonat/Terrano/1059.jpg http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt163/camsonat/Terrano/1093.jpg
  11. Mine was difficult to remove but I won. It wasn't necessary to change those screws just to lubricate them a little bit. Do you people think this MAF needs to be cleaned? It seems to me to be clean enough. I'm waiting for your opinion. :coffee!: http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/tt163/camsonat/1110.jpg
  12. Shame on them. I love my old car and I don't know what to do to make it nicer, stronger and stuff. Is this an ecological program?
  13. Happy new year! This year I hope I will be able to finish the new house to live in it. And a child would be welcome.
  14. I'm using 4x4H on a iced surface mostly. I know that I don't have to use 4x4 on a dry road. Some gays from a 4x4 service inspected the entire shaft and they told me this is OK. When I'm in 2x4 everything is normal and easy. In the rest of time the car is running well and I don't have any reason to complain. Yesterday I had the longest trip whit it and I'm happy whit the fuel consumption which is about 13L/100Km. Thank you and Happy Holidays for everyone.
  15. Hi to all, I own a '89 Terrano with LSD and I think it's not working well. When I'm in 4x4, operating steering wheel and in reverse mode the rear axle seems to be hard to rotate. I'm new in 4x4 and I don't know if that is a normal operation for LSD. Sometimes I think I forgot to leave the hand brake. And sometimes I feel some shocks from the back when I change the direction from backward to forward. I have tried to find something similar but I haven't got any result. I made a complete maintenance to my car except changing diff oil. Thank you in advance.
