  1. Thanks everyone. Nope, no snorkel. It's a short trip across that river and I did have a simple radiator blind across the front of the car. I made up a tarp from a 6ft x 4ft poly tarp. It has shock cord to hold it to the underside at the front and also to each wheel arch flare. Does a good job. The pic was also cut from a video of the crossing and I did cut the best pic out of it. Hey Cyril fro AU too. Nick
  2. Tungsten Thanks for your experienced words. Yes I do have a 2004 and it is a VG33 engine. Some people here in OZ have done 2.5in exhaust from the cats back and noticed a good difference. It is dual to the back of the cats then into single system. I think I want a little more than that. Has anyone messed around with VG33 camshafts for lower torque band?? Nick
  3. 33's on a Pathy!! Wahhhh! I had trouble enough getting 31 x 10.5 Bighorns on mine. I ended up using 90's Pajero alloys with 120mm backspace in 15" as I had already got the tyres. BUT I also had to change wheel nuts as the Pajero and Pathy Mag wheel nuts were not only different thread (M12 1.25 for Pathy and M12 1.5 for Pajero) they were also slightly different diameter holes in the wheels and the Pathy nuts were a little loose. I am happy with them, after a serious weekend away, I didn't hear them scrape at all. I like to keep the flares and inner guard plastic stuff stock. The finished product Nick
  4. I didnt go through all 66 pages of this thread, just read a couple and tacked on the end. I'm here from West Gippsland in Victoria. Commonly known as Nickj on PCOA and 4x4Earth forums. I see a few familiar names here. Nick
  5. For those with stock engine Pathy, I know I am not telling you something you don't already know here. I was towing the camper trailer away last weekend and at 105km/h (60mph) it was revving too fast in 3rd and too slow in 4th with the auto. The Pathy has an annoying rev band that comes on (as much as a Pathy can come on) at 2700RPM. So, apart from a 2.5inch hi- flow exhaust, has anyone done anything about a little extra power, or at least bring that neck snapping torque burst down from 2700RPM to say, 2200 or 2400RPM?? I run LPG on the car so that may eliminate some wiz computer chip, or will that help? I didn't really want to go for a different profile camshaft, but if that is the answer, I might do it. Its not about more power, just having the current power at a better RPM. Thanks in advance Nick
  6. H all As you can see in my sig I have an 04 TI with 31's, 50mm lift, front Lokka, free wheel hubs and other goodies. I like to drive my Pathy as it was meant, off road and enjoy challenging rock ledges. I am a regular contributor on http://pcoa.org.au/forum and http://4x4earth.com.au/forum which are based in Australia. I have seen a familiar face on here already, Vengful. Hope to speak to you soon. Nick
