  1. I'm inclined to agree on the 3" piping, but can't know for sure... BTW I'll try and post some pics of my setup tomorrow, still very pleased with it... haven't had a lot of time to do it and I was sick as a dog all last week. I also ordered manual hubs (Cheaped out on Mile Markers, but whatever... Warns were double the price) and wind/rain guards off ebay last night. Next is 31" Goodyear Wrangler territories, Probably Soft 8's, timing belt (Don't know if it's ever been done and I'm at 159k ) and whatever the hell is starting to clunk/rattle in my front end.. My wallet hurts...
  2. Yeah, feels much stiffer huh? Wasn't enough bands for my taste in metal at uproar when it came to Toronto (I can't stand Disturbed, Airbourne would have been cool to see though.), but I go to a lot of different shows in TO, maybe a beer is in order next time you're there
  3. I'm jealous of your truck. And your job...
  4. This should work.. 1: Get in the vehicle and close and lock all of the doors. 2: Quickly insert the key into the ignition 6 times (without cranking). This must be done within a 10 second time frame. 3: Wait for the emergency flashers to light up. This signals you are in programming mode. 4: Insert the key back into the ignition and turn the key to the accessory mode (ACC), without cranking the engine. 5: Press the "Unlock" button on the remote key fob. Wait for the emergency lights to flash again. Remove the key, unlock the driver's side door (not with the fob) and then open and close to exit programming mode.
  5. Yeah I'll put some up on Friday, I'm on holidays after tomorrow... Would have taken some today but I couldn't find my actual camera and this video was about 20 minutes before sundown. I think I made the right choice with this muffler as far as noise levels... I've heard that the flowmasters can sound very ricey on a pathfinder. The guy at the exhaust shop was even impressed after he fired it up, he was sure it was going to be loud and obnoxious sounding. Only downfall is now I have no spare under there... Maybe I'll have more ambition to get a rear tire carrier bumper welded up this spring. For now I'm just going to start carrying a can of tire sealant and enjoy the extra gas milage from less weight to haul around.
  6. Alright, just picked up my truck after work and made a short clip just now. It sounds pretty good, though not so much on this phone recording. Basically just as quiet as stock on the highway it seemed, just a bit of a different tone. Nice growl to it, but not obnoxious at all in the cabin. I'll post more pics/vid another day, it's getting dark at the moment.
  7. Well, the truck is going to the exhaust shop tomorrow while I'm at work, I'll try and post some pics/video in the next couple days if it's not too cold/snowy.
  8. I finally pulled the trigger on the magnaflow (11378) and it showed up yesterday. Hopefully I'll get it installed this week. I'll try and post a video after it's done. Got a pretty good deal on the muffler though I think.... $130 shipped from performanceparts.com, local shop wanted 225..
  9. Hey guys. Looks like it's time for a new exhaust, muffler is totally rotten and loud as all hell. I tried searching for a solid answer on what the diameter of the stock exhaust pipe is but couldn't find one. I'm thinking of ordering a dual in/out magnaflow (11378) with 2.25" in/outlets. I thought about 11385 as well but I've heard 2.5" in/outlets will be a little bit big and I'll lose low end power. Any help/advice would be appreciated. P.S. - Getting some BFG A/T's and 15x8 Soft8's in the next few weeks too... I'm probably gonna have to go 30x9.5 though, no lift and I don't really want to cut up my front bumper/inner fender. 31 or 32" M/T's will come after I have enough cash to do a lift, then I'll use the BFG AT's for winter.
  10. Good to know, thanks. Anyone have info on the strut mount kit?
  11. Hey guys. I noticed a noise coming from my front end lately and upon inspection noticed play in the drivers side front wheel.. turns out the whole strut assembly is moving side to side. Back shocks were already toast. Point being, it's time to finally lift the pathy now that I have an excuse. Still debating if I'm going OME or AC on the coils, but pricing out the struts etc on RockAuto I came across KYB Gas-A-Just rear shocks for $48 CAD each. Does anyone know how these stack up vs the bilsteins or ome? Couldn't find anything on them here through search. They also have a Raybestos professional grade strut mount kit w/bearing, bumper and bellow for 70 bucks. Not sure what to make of that... I know the KYB mount/bearing is supposed to be crap but I've never heard any feedback on this one. I'm trying to keep things on the cheap side since I'm out of work at the moment. If these parts are ok to use I can get everything but the coils shipped for $488 CAD from RockAuto. Thanks in advance for any advice
  12. Had a few beers last night and busted out the impact, decided to install mine. Taking her out for a test run now.
  13. Ordered mine on Monday, arrived Thursday.. I'll get around to installing it some time this weekend. If Jackson is going to continue working on stuff for R50's I think a SFD kit would be awesome.
  14. Just got around to ordering mine, they said I'll probably have it before the end of the week. My guess is next week though.
  15. Thinking of ordering one of these. Anyone else who's installed one notice much difference?
  16. I wouldn't remove the sway bar links personally... they were cheap enough when I replaced mine... $70ish for both sides (front) and 20 mins of work provided you dont have to cut the links out.
  17. Sway bar end links maybe... this clicking happens if you rock the truck from side to side, yes? Sounds similar to mine before I changed em.
  18. Yeah I didn't particularly like the look of that one either, was just kind of curious about the compatibility since I've seen most other bars/bumpers (or lack thereof) listed as either 96-99 or 99.5-04 and not both.
  19. Yeah my cousins husband who is a mechanic for my local nissan dealership told me about this before I bought my pathfinder. Mine hasnt been done yet but its rust free still. Might get it done soon anyway since it's free.
  20. I think you're ok Pezzy. ...then again i would kill for your TJM bumper.
  21. Haven't seen anyone mention these bull bars for R50's, but I stumbled across this site the other day. http://www.vanguardoffroad.com/9604pathfinder.html Anyone know if that 96-04 compatibility is correct? Seems most other places say the 96-99 and 99.5-04 aren't compatible for bull bars, though I've seen people on here do it, pretty sure some modification was involved? I was also wondering if someone could confirm that these rims off a slightly newer R50 will bolt up without issues to my 99. I like the style much better for stock than the plain steelies on mine, going to try and pull some at the wreckers this weekend if I can find some.
  22. Hey guys. Name's Ryan. I live about an hour east of Toronto. Just picked up a 99 Chilkoot with 138k a few weeks back. I've been lurking around the forums doing research and whatnot, but haven't bothered posting until now. Seems like a pretty tight knit community around here. My pathy is very stock atm, minus the stereo I installed, but I've been looking at suspension lift info etc on here... Hopefully I'll throw some money at it in the spring Edit: Had to change image host... bandwidth exceeded b.s. Last pic is the other household Nissan
