hmmm makes me think because my truck was sitting in the desert with fuel in the tank for about a year before i rebuilt it but i checked the injectors and one was spraying fine and the other seemed to as well

oh trust me after the last shop screwed up a tune up im doing it my self i have a spare tranny to throw in anyways because my truck has the trans whine, does anyone know a ballpark price for getting the flywheel resurfaced? the job shouldn't be to bad probably going to be 1-2 days of work if im lucky because i dont have a lift that a shop has but thankfully i have a 3inch body lift which is going to make things a little easier

well i took my truck in for diagnostics and they said i need my fly wheel resurfaced and a new pressure plate, but that still doesnt account for when its in neutral ill put the peddle to the floor and the truck will rev to 2000 then bog down and shut off or it will bog down between 2000 and 2500, say i have it in third and if the rpms are at 2 or alittle below the truck will shutter and stall

same thing is happening to me it was sluggish i took it for a tune up then it wouldnt start i checked all the gaps in the plugs and fixed that checked cap and rotor the wires are in the correct order new fuel filter it also has trouble starting it will start but idle low or jump so my guess is the fuel pump? but also the check engine light came on when tyhey were done and it was throwing out codes for a leaking fuel injector and something about the idle switch

what year did they switch the tranys out with the correct fill level? is it at all possile to use a 90's tranny? the trans should be the same correct? there weren't much differences between the VG30i and VG30e well the back side where the tranny hooks up?

went pickin today and picked up a pre runner bumper off a wd21 with TWO hella 4000 lights on it for 70 bucks a stearing stabilizer with rancho 5000 shock for free pocket the brackets and shock in tool box haha and two warn manual hubs for 17 a piece if anyone is located in southern CA or around nevada the adelanto ecology is worth the trip lots and lots of pathys here also got some bezels

im not sure when i bought my new cat it smelt like that for the first few miles then went away but then again it was just autozone and a universal

the rotten egg is just from the new cat i had the same thing

so it IS possible to just jack one side up? i thought i saw some one on here say they tried it and it came out of a weep hole or something of the sort (i thought only water pumps had weeps holes?)

solved the problem it was the AIV box i was talking about, its amazing how one vacuum line can spoil everything i hate those

i fixed it no more leaks....but now i have a much more serious problem on my hands, after replacing the hoses i found that my a.i.-somthing box is messed up its the round thing that looks like the brake booster and has a rectangle attached to the front its in front of the carbon canister on the driver side but the hose that connects to the rectangle busted separating the two metal pipes. i believe this is for smog and its does something with the atmospheric pressure and the cat for emissions. i started my truck after pouring collant in the rad and everything and after just a warm up of five minutes no reving or anything just idle my temp gauge shot up almost to H, i though it might be the thermostat stuck but i just replaced it a few weeks ago, even the dipstick burnt me, can anyone have an idea as to what this is, unfortunatly i think it might be a blown head or something serious

its not to sweet of a smell but its a brown fluid and when i pour water into the rad a rust or brown colored foam comes up, im guessing its from my engine because seeing as i just rebuilt my front end the rad is brand new. I took off all four hoses last night and the lower one was obviously dry rotted as is completly ripped in half where it meets the steel tubing also the metal tubing is pretty rusted

when i start my truck what smells like coolant(im actually quite sure its coolant is spilling out the back of my engine) on the passanger side i believe its the heaters hose/hoses i check my radiator and its low after running and my temp gauge soars to H after just a few short minutes. instead of driving i called my buddy and was towed home hoping im right on this one if anyone else has ideas please let me know

electrical isnt too bad my only problem is some times my running lights dont turn on i have to keeps switching them on and off and eventually they come on and my damn high beams almost NEVER work and if they do its only one light any one else have this problem?

the door isnt to bad but then again i dont have power anything i just pop the clip off the window handle then the square fron the door handle on the inside pops off with a flat head and then the skin pop off much the same with the little pins holding it but be careful they are plastic and will break just roll your window up to get it outta the way and look inside i had this same problem it was just the latch that clips into the cylinder that came off a trip the pick a part solved that

i voted on trans problems cause my pathy has a really terrible trans whine the lack of power isnt to bad i mean my 1,2,3 gears have aLOT of torque yes the aftermarket issmall but come on has most aftermarket parts dont fit like they say and require fab so you might as well but original and fab your own pieces even if your not very good at it because it always feels good to be out on the trail and have someone say "wow ive never seen that" or "i didnt know they made that for out trucks" and you tell them you made it yourself

yeah i had a small vacuum leak like what casey said it was a mojar headache had trouble starting and erratic idle and all i had to do to fix the promlem was cap off the vacuum line for the cruise control

thank you for your reply i believe my clutch is slipping alittle bit im going to have that replaced with my next paycheck hopefully. i believe its the original clutch as there is no paper work that came with the truck stating there was any work ever done to the clutch at all so i believe a major turn up is in the near future. when i got my truck smoged a few weeks ago the tech said i was missing so im gonna replace my plugs and wires possibly check out my distributor cap and rotor
