is this what I need? Fine thread? It says "where high strength is not needed" so I dunno =O but it's the only 14mm x 1.5 I can find http://www.boltdepot.com/product.aspx?cc=2...=21&cd=1384

yes... I forget... yes... and yes. Want specifics? There's a crapload already on these topics.. and there's a nifty search function to find them ^^
-
thanks.. I think if I extended the bump stops some how it would solve the problem.. or make the coil spacers I've been too lazy to make for the past two weeks.. or both
-
mine are 32x11.50 on 15x8" wheels with 4" backspacing and they rub the frame quite a bit at full stuff on both sides
-
320? :O I get like 250 - 300 when I drive nicely

looking at the rear bumper prices on their site... 462.00 is the cheapest version. I would be down for sure to get a rear bumper but holy crap.. it looks like 462 bucks goes to a bar.. two vertical tubes and the connecting pieces.
-
or you could get a bigger steering wheel.. you know further distance from the center bigger moment created on it!
-
lol.. the X you are talking about sounds pretty nice, next best thing other than a pathy imo

question about shocks.. I currently have RS5116 shocks in, but I feel the coils I have in there (calmini 3" lift coils) have a lot more potential for extension. However, I'm not sure if I'm lifted enough to go to RS5112s which is what I want to do. Looking at the shock that's in now it looks like there is about 6" of room on the shock for compression. Will I have problems going to the 5112? or should I go 5114? oooor stay at 5116.

so I noticed in the sexy flexy thread 88 suggested using 3/4" thick horse stall floor matting. And after searching a bit I found this: http://www.shopgreatmats.com/shop4/cart.ph...tail&p=1626 3/4" thick 2x2 feet.. thats perfect to make 4 spacers out of (if you want ~1.5" lift from it or like me you are afraid you will mess up one ) and its only 10 bucks... compaired to the 30 dollar pair of 3/4" jeep spacers I'd say thats not a bad way to go... thoughts?
-
well I have the calmini coils.. and I love them.. they flex extremely well.. But they didn't give me the 3" I wanted heh (probably cause of all the crap I keep in the back and the tire carrier ). So I just want an aditional inch or so from spacers and then get some longer shocks.
-
meh I figured it would be the pigtail end. Yeah check if you can get them to fit sammy. Anyone make their own set of coil spacers?
-
so I ran into jeep coil spacers.. and though I could really use some. Was wondering if they would fit in the rear. Their website says that the coil spacers fit on the top of the spring. Is that the pig tail end? Looked around but couldnt really find what I was looking for as an answer. http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Products.asp...d=10E39A4451692 thanks

woo just ordered mine.. finally able to get me a sticker!

Yeah I just replaced one of my axels last weekend. Went WAY more smooth than the first time I replaced both axels heh (The only cursing occurred when the jack stand pinched my finger ^^). It seems to be a little easier on the 96 too.

well at the time i didnt know how the auto hubs worked.. or the wheel bearings.. so i didnt know what i was supposed to take off and what not to.. now that i understand it, its pretty simple.
-
fyi... using this write up i still made a few mistakes.. probably due to not being able to see the pictures casue the links are dead the snap ring goes back on the outer notch... and dont take off the wheel bearing lock washer and nut. heres also a few other good links that i found usefull after messing it up ^^ http://www.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showfla...part=1&vc=1 http://www.nissanoffroad.net/how_to/hubs/hub.asp
-
ok put everything back together.. and now it works fine.. no grinding.... the wheel was off ballance basically and the rotor was pushing against the break pads at an angle.. all due to the bearing nut not being on eh heh but it works just fine now ^^ why do 1 hour jobs turn into 3 hour jobs for me ><
-
so i opened it up... sure enough the wheel bearings were loose and like.. fell off the thing.. probably part of the problem eh heh.... i couldnt get the wheel bearing in... the whole shaft was angled downward.. i jacked it up and then it fixed it.. so the wheel bearing is back in.. hopefully no permanent damage in there... that might fix the brake pressure thing too we shall see ^^ but yes after researching lots of other websites i am supposed to put the snapring back on the outer place
-
mk no i was not supposed to remove them eh heh time to go see what is messed up in there
-
where are XPLORx4's install pics :o and was i supposed to take off the wheel bearing lock washer and nut?
-
k thought so.. do i put it on the outside slot thingy to put it on? or the inside.. id ont see how it would fit on the inside one... and.... i dont see how that has anything to do with the brakes ><
