  1. Good call. And it looks like I had a bit of confusion here. There is one grease seal per side, not two. Oooops
  2. I must be blind. I'm not seeing any pricing on this on your website. I'm going to be investing in a winch soon and this would be an awesome way to do it up. Pricing? How bout a combo package...winch mount and front skid plate? What about your full line, all the armor and the plate?
  3. I know there are a bunch of threads about doing brakes on our trucks, and I've read them all. This is my first 4wd vehicle, but after reading everything, looking at pics, etc. I'm pretty confident I should be able to do this nice and quick. I'm doing brakes and Warn hubs. I am picking up inner and outer bearing grease shields. Will I need anything else while I'm at it (I know grease, and brake cleaner etc.)? Parts wise though, to make sure everything is allllll good up front should I pick up anything else? Thanks.
  4. Thanks for the tip. That's something I haven't heard yet.
  5. I also have to order a hitch (To trailer my new race car project), and I want to get all new polyurethane bushings all the way around. Which I'll probably have to have a shop do. That will be just more waiting. Ahhhhhhhh the joys of modding.
  6. I hate waiting for new parts. I want them in my hands to install em NOW!!!! On their way Warn Premium Manual Hubs Brembo Rotors EBC Green Stuff pads
  7. My other office is in Phoenix. I'm there for business quite a bit. All my clients are in that area. Might actually work.
  8. I'm in Chicago. Free long distance though. My work is all over tthe country so I need it. I'll let you guys know what I find out.
  9. I'm seeing all sorts of stuff through AC. I'll have to email them about just throwing together something to include suspension bushings all the way around. It's a 10 year old truck. Might as well do em all. Especially if I plan on doing a lift later.
  10. I had the exhaust redone (from the manifold back) when I bough the car about 3 months ago. It's definately not that. Even if it's not the bushings, I'd still like to redo them all just to stiffen her up a bit. Energy suspension doesn't have squat suprisingly...and annoyingly lol.
  11. I have tis noise issue discussed here. I figure my truck is a 97 so it could use new links, bushings etc. Anyone know If I can just buy a kit that has all the bushings I need for the whole rear suspension? Just the majority even. I'd love to just do the whole thing. Stiffen it up a bit. I know for my camaro and my Z I was able to find kits that had all the busings for the suspension all the way around.
  12. Ok, anyone have any clue where I can find a wiring diagram for the truck? I have searched and found squat. I have an R50 (97) I want to put this head unit in this weekend possibly.
  13. I have a 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T on my 97 pathy. It has a tiny bit of rub against the underside of the spring perch when my wheels are at full lock. Otherwise so far I love em. The look great, drive great in all conditions. I've only had them 2 weeks so I can't speak for tread life, but I have always been happy with BFG even on my track cars. IMO so far it is a great all around tire. I think you'll be in good shape with a 265 actually.
  14. My new headunit comes in today. from what I gather here this won't be a simple "buy a harness at Best Buy pop it in" type job. I have a 97. Where are these amps so I can start lookinginot rewiring. I'm going to be installing my system soon as well, but for now I'm just doing the head unit to aftermarket speakers. You really have to rewire it all? Fun fun fun.
  15. I'm working on a master switch to completely deactivate all rear lighting at the flick of it. License plate light, tail lights, OFF. That way I can pull off the road onto a trail and pretty much dissapear from sight even while braking. Stealth mode.
  16. This guys were pretty giggly. I don't think they know what they were in for. Their only saving grace today was that last night's rain storm washed off "the chunks" lol.
  17. My path was thouroughly trashed. Mud in every crevice, prarie grass stuck in every possible crack, just disgusting. So I take it to the turtle wax car wash by my house. Undercarriage wash, polished up the rims, powewashed the wheel wells. They went all out on my lil truck. Now...after seeing how I brought it in, and talking to me about offroading they tell me that they have a 2 day guarantee. Hmmmmm. So they inform me that if my truck gets dirty in the next two days I can bring it back for a free wash again. Why do I think a mud puddle is going to sneak up on me tomorrow on my way home from work?
  18. Yep. R50. Thinking about getting out the welder to do some skid plates and CV shields. As you said...mounting may get interesting.
  19. Bought a Pathfinder-googled pathfinder offroading-found NPORA The most reliable people for info on a car are the people that drive it everyday. Here I stay.
  20. Crappy part about Illinois. A lot of decent spots have tall prairie grass. I may have to come up with a way to sheild my CV joints, because it was ridiculous.
  21. Nope, but I need one. Hoping to maybe do 3" in a month or so.
  22. So I got my 31x10.5's on this weekend...and it's been raining non stop. I figure I need to test these bad boys out. I hit a really nice spot near my house. Deep, rutty, muddy, lots of standing water and tall prarrie grass. Just a nice rugged spot. Manage to plow right through like a champ, and decide I'm happy as can be with my tire choice (BFG A/T's) Problem is mud between the strut and tire. I spent a good 20 minutes pulling stuff out of the strut, and from between the tire and strut. It was just packed in and not buding. There is next to know room between the strut and the tire, so getting anything in there is just bad news. I have a slight rub at full lock to where the tread is catching the underside of the coil perch. Oh, and I also pulled literal nests out of my CV joints lol. Seems like the tall grass just wound right the hell around. The 20 minutes I spent clearing debree out from my front end was worth the fun I had plowing around the mud, and good for a laugh. SHould I expect that I will be doing this quite a bit? Is there anything I can do to combat the build up of crap in my wheel wells besides a new set of rims with a nice wide offset?
