YUP I honestly don't complain about gas very often. When my friends complain I just shrug...usually. It gets nowhere to complain, and I need gas. I can't drill it or refine so I'll just have to pay for it. BUT When gas prices keep climbing and their profits keep climbing I have to wonder. Are prices rising because we're running short on oil or because the oil companies are turning huge profits. Hmmmmmmmmmmm take a freaking guess. The government is proposing new taxes on the oil companies. How bout just setting some limitations as to how much they can actually gouge us? If they tax em they will just raise prises more to recoup the loss. Whatever, I need gas, I like driving my truck with crappy mileage so I'll just have to shut my mouth. If I lived anywhere else I'd have to drive a smart car because gas is so damn expensive so here in America it's not even worth complaining. But if I ever meet an oil exec, and it is possible in my line of work, I will punch him in the neck and piss in his nostrils. Then I'll steal his wife and wine and dine her on his credit card, topping the night off in a jacuzzi filled with crude oil once again courtesy of that rat bastards credit card.

Guess I'll just have to keep paying for $400 million dollar retirement packages for Exxon-Mobil execs.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder if anyone makes the sensors to convert it. Is it that simple you think? I'd be interested in doing it for the simple fact that it supports our Farmers. This has been around and available for at least a decade now, and it is a damn shame that it is just now making a presence.

Not that worried about gas prices. I don't pay attention anymore, and I've found it is much less stressful. I just want to see what would happen. Now how bout that Bio Diesel stuff? Is that for specific cars/trucks as well or can you run it in any diesel? Anyone seen that?

I was going to order the 4 Crawler sliders next week, but then someone mentioned Black Panther's to me. I was already thinking of ordering the BP Skids, so now the idea of BP's Sliders to go with it doesn't sound too bad. The designs are definately different, and the BP's are about $100 cheaper. BP's still look like they are pretty damn burly though and everyone seems to be really happy with his prodduct. Anyone have thoughts on this? Should I just go BP all the way? Skids, sliders, and eventually the R50 bumper...mmmmmmmm. Or should I do a lil mix n match action.

Check the stupid obvious stuff too. Radiator drain plug, stupid crap that would be a no brainer is often the culprit. Maybe it's just me...lol

Just a funny note I was reminded of with all the cleaning talk. Did a brake job and misc. maintainence a few weeks ago. Had a sticky throttle. So I'm sitting there, truck not running spraying out the TB. Won't start, won't start. Now I'm pissed. Thinking great I flooded it. Let it sit all night. Next morning still will not start. SO now I'm a bit worried. Just for yucks I slap the intake back together and she starts right up. <------ Derrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, I've always felt a bit iffy about spacers because it puts so much sheering force on the lugs. The idea behind these spidertrax ones seems pretty good, but I think for $250 you are better off putting it towards some wheels with decent backspacing and having peace of mind. My only thing is that I kind of like my stock rims if they had some backspacing so I'd almost consider these. Anyone on here used em? Yay or nay?

I found some buy a company called Gorilla I believe it is. Saw them at Murray's Auto parts. 1/4" and they wer 8 bucks a piece. I think I may get some while I debate on getting wheels with a bigger backspace. I get a tiny bit of rub at full lock that drives me nuts.

As I've stated in the past I'm new to liftin, wheeling, and all of that. So if this is a dumb question I'm sorry. In a lift kit, using the AC kit as an example, the lift height refers to what precisely? So say the AC 2" lift. Does that actually mean 2"of additional ground clearance potentially, or is the measurment actually in reference to something else. How is it really determined, and how much of a difference will I really notice with a 2" kit? and a side note, anyone have the AC kit for an R50? Can you post pics please? How do you like it, and are there any alternatives...possibly offering more lift for the R50 or is AC it?

You lucky lucky man you. I'm hoping that my bonus check at the end of the month is enough to -pay the bills (no problem) and -Fab my skids -Suspension lift and Bushings -Sliders Cross your fingers for me people.

When I get to work on this I will have to make a documentary out of it. I have a feeling hillarity will insue. But I did come up with a cool concept for a skid.......if it works.

So I'm going to admit, when it comes to fabbing and welding I'm a noob. Actually to be perfectly honest I'm clueless. But I'm out to start learning. I decided that I'd like to try making a set of skids to began my learning process. As much as I'd like to just order the BP skids I want to start fabbing stuff for my truck slowly learning over the course of things. THe skids should be pretty easy...except one thing. How in the heck do you make nice clean bends in 3/16" steel? Heat it up and pound it? I know a lot of you fab, weld etc. Besides my bending question what kind of advice do you have for a newb to the game of making stuff for the rig?

Cool. What kind of prep did you do VOX? Sanding? Primer etc.
