i guess if its worth it i could do a magnaflow cat and muffler but idk if that will pass the state inspection does the stock cat and muffler suck that bad too?! i am only trying to make right what the factory could not

I would not use heat shields on headers.

Would the headers melt the hoses by any chance?

You don't have to but it is recommended because its harder to get to the oil filter with the headers.

UPDATE Been running that 180 F thermostat for quite a while now. With a new thermostat, I got a new radiator, new radiator cap, new hoses, new overflow bottle, new water pump, and a transmission cooler. Has been pretty good, never has it gone over 1/2 way and its usually a little below that which I think is perfect. After it became cold outside, the temperatures are still the same as when it was hot outside. Ill post up an updated picture of where it is sometime this week.

What size are the bolts and do they have to be specialty bolts?

there is a light on the dashboard lol but then that doesn't go on until you're screwed

are they just drop in or require a resistor to be set up?

do the brake lights work?? possibly a short circuit but i have never seen this before

I HATE THAT STUPID PART IT SUCKS BIG FAT...... Yeah just take the light off and then rip that thing off. Mine was not only peeling but cracked in several spots. I ripped off the vinyl and used oven cleaner to clean off the sticky foam. Then I glued the smooth plastic pieces together with krazy glue and used a few pieces of strategically placed double sided tape to re-attach the vinyl. You can also spread some gluey substance over the plastic or just spray paint the plastic black. If you really have some time, find some leather, cut it up, and cover it with that. FYI, when you are ripping those plastic panels off, when you take out all the top retainers, there are some stuck into the side. Take off the handles if you have them and just yank on the plastic pieces. The side retainers will fly out and you don't have to put them back in as they do absolutely nothing. Just pop the plastic back in when you are done with it.

Yes I searched before I was going to post... Anyway, I am looking for an oil filter relocation kit for my pathy. The primary goal is to make room for upcoming headers and make sure my starter won't guzzle the oil that comes into it anymore. I seen so many random brands but never actually installed one. What should I get? What to avoid? The more info, the better. Thanks!
