1. Although they aren't on the website anymore, I can still make tube ones. Just give me a call.
2. No problem. Post up if any other questions arise. -steven Sent while mobile, typos likely.
3. I changed gears in both axles. I was running 4.88 gears at that time. Sent while mobile, typos likely.
4. Lol no problem. Post up of youre still lost or have any more questions. Sent while mobile, typos likely.
5. This should clear things up a bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIGvhvOhLHU
6. no, the math above is to calculate the required Ring and pinion ratio. bottom line, you need to change the ring and pinion.
7. almost... 3.55 turns of the driveshaft equals one full turn of the tires / axle shaft the mathematical way to figure the ratio required for a new tire size is simple algebra.. OEM Ratio / OEM Tire Diameter = New Ratio / New Tire Size ex. 4.37 = x ---- ---- 29 35 Solve for X (4.63 * 35)/29 = 5.58 or new example (4.37*35)/29 = 5.27 or new example (4.37*33)/29 = 4.97 There is a method to this madness
8. No. 4.10 gears will not be enough in the Nissan. Sent while mobile, typos likely.
9. The lower the number, the more top speed you'll have but less bottom end power. The opposite for higher numbers. Ill get you a quote on parts. But labor for changing them put isn't cheap. With 33's you would want atleast 4.63 if not 4.9 Sent while mobile, typos likely.
10. 3.55 gears are way way too tall. they will rob you of power like crazy. If you plan on running 35" tires with a manual pathfinder trans you're looking at running Atleast 5.14's 5.57 gears are just right on 37's w/ manual trans. 5.85 gears are good for 37's w/ Auto trans or 37"+ tires and a manual. those 3.55's won't get you anywhere.
11. Chances are we would remove the cat. Its not a performance issue, its an issue with getting heat away from the motor and being able to make the primary tubes long enough so they don't crack. The cats simply get in the way of making a quality product. We saw the same issue on the d22's

Sent while mobile, typos likely.

13. I will write a blog about it, well need to post this info on multiple boards. And well need to guage interest there all in one spot aand also see what kind of timeframe people would be looking at buying.

I will need atleast 10-15 people to preorder these with about an 8 week lead time. I feel like this is doable but we need to spread the word a bit more

Sent while mobile, typos likely.

14. I have not posted on other boards thinking that the majority of the R50 pathfinders are here on NPORA I'm up for recommendations though.
15. Grab the Nov. Issue of Off-Road Mag.!

16. We would try to keep the cat but would eliminate cats if the design to keep them would affect the integrity of the heady. Sent while mobile, typos likely.

18. Yeah, they do a great job and they have been great to work with as far as bringing out new product. They aren't far from here where I am in CA either. If anyone else is interested please post up.
19. Doug Thorley, just like the 3.0 D21 and 3.3 D22 headers that I sell.
20. Thanks for the input. They would be ceramic coated and most likely around the $450 price point like the 3.3L Headers for the Xterra / Frontier.
21. R50 Pathfinder 3.3L Headers anyone? I'm just trying to get a feel for the demand. I've had a couple phone calls out of the blue but we need at least 10 - 15 people to speak up and be serious buyers to make this happen. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!
22. If I was you in your situation and didn't want to run the H233B Diamond Axle, I'd go the MQ Patrol Axle route and swap the gears that you have.
23. I do sell the housing as a separate piece but I also offer all the pieces to get it together. Shafts, hubs, brakes, locking hubs, H233B 3rd member, gears, lockers, gear install kits etc. Keep in mind that the H233B in the WD21 pathfinder is a 31 spline @ 1.28" diameter. This is correct, The fronts are only 31 spline, but they have 33 spline aftermarket upgrades out there. They've been doing this in the patrols since the mid 80's and they are also high pinion. (but it's really not that big of a difference between low and high pinion on the H233B) However, the Front H233B in the patrols is a passenger side drop and is opposite of what we'd require here. Also, the birfields on the Front H233B from nissan are the weak spot, so building the diamond axle up using the D60 steering components not only is easier to get parts for but it a stronger setup.
24. This is a great post! I don't think I've ever seen a thread on this on any of the nissan 4x4 boards! .. or I've just been sleep'n. good stuff.
