So I stumbled across this kit on ebay for a VG30E rebuild kit for the 86-92 pathfinder. So I went and looked at that pathfinder-junk- needed to be C4C. Rust, trans problems, rough idle, dings and dents, paint chipping and a few body issues. It's all stuff you couldn't see in the pictures and they didn't list. When I get on here later I will post pictures of it. Bottom line, I'm still looking for a working one, or a rust free donor/parts car!

I am gonna be looking at a pathfinder tomorrow to potentially replace my rust bucket. What stuff should I look out for Specifically to the world of Pathfinders and when buying a car in general? I know to check for frame and Underbody rust specifically for pathfinders. What else? I know when generally buying a car to find the history of the vehicle- location, drivers, wrecks/damage,smoked/non smoked, etc. What else? Dad is going with me tomorrow to go write a check take a look at it with me.

Yeah I have asked about performance parts for the VG30 Motor alot and I have been talking about doing an engine rebuild. To tease my mind, I wanna know if its possible for me to get a kid of Internals (Pistons, rings, rods, bearings, crank shaft) all in one package as in: (This is a 3.2L Stroker Kit for the VG30 Motor of the 300zx) Considering buying a motor from a junkyard might be cheaper to do for my ride I figure it might be a little safer to do an engine build of my own with just replacing parts, considering maintenance is unknown on a junkyard motor and I don't wanna be victim of a timing belt issue! Let me know your thoughts...

It does say on the back of the bottle to apply when above 40 Degrees. So considering most of the US is below 35... Need I say more.... I find also that Number to be a little too low... It works best when applied at about 50... Less of a haze appears that way. Also I find that if you apply rain-x and Buy the Rain-x Blades... they seem to work together. Rain-x is a Fantastic Product if it is applied Properly!

Did it have any backfiring? When my engine went, the sound of the engine started getting slower and slower and it popped a few times right before it went!

Did Nissan stop producing the 2-Door WD21 after 1990? I haven't seen a 2-Door WD21 after that year.

Check everything, fuses, wiring, switches, bulbs, bulb sockets, etc. Corrosion is the enemy so make sure you don't have any of that.

I did a sub system for some guy at my school and same thing happened. His was a crown vic though so different story. Like My1Pathy said cut out the amp and that I believe will work.

Talking to a friend of mine earlier about engines and such. If I remember correctly, the pathfinder and the 300zx share the same motor. Would aftermarket forged pistons from a 300zx work in the pathfinder if the block assemblies are the same? Just a thought... Tell me if I am wrong...

Talk to kingman, He got in a wreck a while back and his stock brush guard saved the front of his pathfinder... he would know best right...

Go to Pepboys and get the Thrush Turbo Muffler for like $20-25. Its reversible and has 2 sounds in one! I dont remember if it needs adapters or not... if it does they are like $3 bucks and right next to it!
