If the sticker is orange (or appears it may have been) then good chance you have LSD even if you can not read it. Not sure of any other sticker that would have been put on except the LSD one. Maybe LSD was available as a stand alone option? So do not necessarily need a "package"?

My 02 has a LSD. Maybe with our Canadian roads Nissan thought we needed something more rugged In Canada, the 06 Pathy has 4 wheel LSD plus a bunch of other driver nannies. Not sure how it works but that is how it is advertised on the Nissan CA web site.

Yup, good info. In Canada the QX4 (2001-2003) had disc/drum brakes, no 4 wheel disc (or we might all be doing rear axle swaps )

Good summary. Only clarification is that (in Canada anyway) the AllMode AWD was an option on the lower trim levels of the Pathy and had to be in combination with the separately available optional automatic transmission. For example on my 02 Pathfinder, to get the AllMode was apparently an extra $1,200 (cdn) for both options. AllMode and the 5 speed manual was not an available combination.

I would not, the sticker can come off. As was done the best way is to verify by vin #.

Double ditto, and I drive in the wet coast of Canada, with LSD. May be a tire issue? Try a F250 with hard 10+ ply tires and see what you get Now mud

On the Bose, it is the 6 cd changer that is the issue. The tape deck is fine, as is the radio part. I have had no issues with my 02, very happy with it.

I just do it until it stops No click on mine.

So I looked at mine (an 02 so not sure if it will help ). It is 2 pieces, and appears to be stitched except between the big knob and the OD button, so I have to assume it is glued there. But I can not tell if the entire thing is glued on as it is still tight. Here is the only picture I have showing the shifter:

Unless Infinity put in some weird piping system, these are different drain and fill. On my Pathy, there is a drain plug on the bottom of the rear diff and a fill plug not quite 1/2 way up, on the rear side. And yes, if the rear diff is LSD, then it would require a different fluid than the front. Hope this helps Qman

I run 87 and have not noticed any pinging. And I have been working in area with very steep grades (1,000 m elevation gain in 11 kms or 9% AVERAGE grade, the steep parts are way steeper than that, pushing 15-17%) and have been locking the trannie in 2nd gear which works out to about 2,000-2,500 rpm at the speeds I am going at. And no pinging.

My 02 has the auto headlights, it is identified by the word "AUTO" on the headlight switch. My owners manual says that the round thing about the size of a loonie (Canadian dollar coin, little bigger than a quarter) near the base of the windshield on the passenger side is the sensor for the auto lights and should not be blocked. So the first thing I would do is make sure that the sensor is clear with nothing on top of it. After that, maybe a fuse? Then.....? I really do not know.

You say: "...I could torque the torsion bar..." The R50 (1996-2004) Pathfinders have front and rear coil springs, no torsion bar to crank I’m afraid. The photo I posted was of my front, strut with coil spring. I find it is the bottom of the spring seat that creates the tight fit. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting and how they fit. I will be buying new tires before snow fall and am still undecided on actual size. I will be getting the Bridgestone REVO in an LT though for sure, work well around here.

From the tire calculator I posted, here is what you get: 245/75R16 Dia = 30.5" 265/70R16 Dia = 30.6" 255/70R16 Dia = 30.1" 255/65R16 Dia = 29.1" Stock on my 02 is 245/70R16 Dia = 29.5" So if it is extra height you want, then you need one of the upper two or one like them. I got a full extra inch by going with a 75 series rather than the stock 70 but keeping the rest the same.

I agree with Pezzy. I smashed my plastic splash shield thing crashing through some ice this spring. Not very durable at all.
