All I see are pics of your truck in the dark, and a forest service sign.

No way! If I keep it under 65mph, maybe I'll get about 16mpg. I was figuring SaKaNa's mileage, being mostly stock. For me, Moab is about 1000 miles away. No short distance, but certainly much closer than those who live on the eastern seaboard.

2100 miles / 65 mph avg = ~32 hours, which includes breaks for food and gas 2100 miles / 18mpg = 116 gal * 2.25/gal = $262 116 gal / ~19gal/tank = 6 fillups

If ABS is malfunctioning, it only means that the ABS is disabled, but the brakes still function normally. However, in an emergency stop, your tires may lock up, so you'll need to pump the brakes to maintain control. If your door ajar light is on, it could be that one of the door switches is poorly grounded. Remove them, clean them up (WD-40 or silicone spray), and see if that helps.

Guys, it's not like this event is next week. It's 5 months away! That should be enough time for many of you to plan your time off, save money, and get your trucks ready. You don't need to have 6" of lift and huge tires to participate, you know. There are plenty of great trails in Moab that a stock, or near-stock R50 can handle.

Well, unfortunately the passenger side chrome piece is slightly damaged. It's got a little bit of a dent/dimple in it from when I backed up into a big rock. :sniff: I can take a pic of it and you can decide if you still want it. Re: the hitch modifications and rollers, I had Roger (4crawler) do the work. I have the U-haul hitch as well. I got the rollers here.
-
What piece do you need? It's sorta beat up, but something might be salvageable.

I participated in goneMOAB in 2003, and became the first R50 to cross the Golden Crack. In 2005, I returned to Moab with friends to visit Arches and Canyonlands, and camped in Devil's Kitchen on the Elephant Hill trail. It seems like every other year, I somehow make it out to Moab, so I might as well make an appearance at goneMOAB '07. I'll have a lot of new mods that are gonna need a workout. Anyone else want to represent the R50 contingency in the Nissan community? . . . PS. I probably won't do it unless there's gonna be some kind of R50 presence.

Deep, wet snow behaves a lot like mud. The lugs on M/T tires act like "paddles" to help provide traction. On hard-packed snow, the siping on A/T tires provide lots of biting edges to "grip" the hard, icy snow.
-
Considering that the BFG AT is not a mud-terrain tire, it follows that its performance in mud wouldn't be so great. (Just about every review I've read concurs.) It's important to understand the limitations and benefits of the particular tires you install. If mud is your fancy, an AT tire is not going to meet your needs. As for snow, its consistency and depth will be big factors on how well the AT performs compared to another more agressive tire. In shallow, hard-packed snow, they're better. In deep, wet snow, they may load up.

I've never had any kind of serious tramlining from any truck tires. My 31" BFG AT's didn't have that problem, and neither do my 32's. On the other hand, my 2 other cars, which have low-profile performance tires, tramline like heck all over the place. At times it feels like I'm in an airplane, being buffeted from side to side by air turbulence. It's possible that because your tires on the front are different from the rear that there is a more pronounced effect. Or, perhaps the square shoulder of the BFG AT's is the cause... I would recommend switching the AT's to the front wheels and seeing if that helps. Also, have you ever had the rear lower control arm bushings replaced? Swaying from side to side is a common symptom of bad bushings.

Use a BFH? I think they're welded on. If that's true, you'll need to grind them off and drill out the hole.

My solution to your problem was just to tap the hi-beam wire at the right-side headlight connector. See the relays mounted on the body, next to the orange battery? One of them is hooked up to the factory hi-beam wire, and it sends a signal to my aux lights.

Mounting rear bump stops to spacer

Check your cross-post on AC. -
Never heard of that before. Optimum air/fuel ratio is maintained by the ECU at all times when in "closed loop". The ECU is only in "open loop" at WOT and when coolant temp is below a certain threshold. This is electronic fuel injection we're talking about here, not a 4-barrel carburetor.

Yeah, and there's no way the driver would be in such a relaxed position at that angle, either.

This topic was started in the wrong forum. This is the 96-04 forum. You may get more accurate responses in the 2005+ forum.

secondaries?

Don't you think the droning was caused because you replaced the entire exhaust system and used a Magnaflow muffler? (Besides, the VQ35 exhaust configuration is apparently much different than the VG33 exhaust.)
-
The resonator is there merely to reduce exhaust noise. You can probably remove both of them.

I posted a poll over on AC. Please submit your vote.

At the moment, there are no plans to add features above and beyond what the TJM already has, but it can certainly be investigated. Right now, it looks like there's only 2 people interested, and unfortunately, that's probably not enough to warrant development. If you're interested, sign up: 1) Vengeful 2) NismoSky7 3)
