speakin of rook racks can i fit a 2001 se roof rack on my 2001 le ? i like the se roof rack better its design is nicer and it has pathfinder written on it.

my 2001 LE does fine off road and i just had it in the snow...32" worth...dont let that truck fool you...the off roader must have been a novice. that engine always has power to spare. tap the gas and off it goes, need more power ? push the petal harder, LOL ....cant go wrong with full leather interior, navigation heated seats tv dvd ect...in the middle of a 4x4 run....creature comforts in the wilderness....what a great truck...have never gotten stuck...............yet

I also appreciate rare options on cars as i wont buy an everyday car either. your best bet is to contact nissan they would have those records and they are public info you just have to get them off their lazy arse to get it.

glad i have all mode 4wd, just turn the switch and forget about it. only have to put it in neutral to go to 4wd LO or the computer wont switch it.

ive got silverstars on my pathy now and they work great. but im installing real bi-xeon HID lights soon in both the headlights and driving lights

basically it sounds like a thunk from the front suspension area. Does it when i hit brakes once in a while or when the suspension compresses like up a driveway. it might be the control arm bushings but i cant seem to find any for a 2001 R50. seems there are ones for the old 99's and under but i cant finda set for mine am i missing something ? :confused:

just put the oil pan under the filter and spin the sucker off. thats what rags are for. i just finished changing my tranny fluid, transfer case fluid, front diff, rear diff and oil. i went thru a whole thing of rags but im glad its over.

i wouldnt doubt it, this engine has more praises than ive ever seen, it was just well engineered all over....from the vq30 to the vq35

hey guys my mechanic told me my VQ35DE in 01 pathy had a timing belt. I thought that this motor was chain driven like my maxima was , does anyone know ? also any tricks to changing the accessories belts the tensioner release bolt it tight as all heck... one more thing what type of gear oil do i need for the front and rear diffs, also what kind for the tranny so i can flush it.....

humm, mine has only 40000 miles on it (01) and once in a while while under braking mine makes a small "clunk" from the driver front tire area....

i always use 93 or sometimes if im in a good mood ill put in 94 here in jersey.

hey also on the abs system does it just work on the two fron tires or is it supposed to work on all 4 cause i had to hit my brakes earlier this evening and the rear end started to fish out from the locked rear tires....??

well im not actually a newbie to nissans ive owned many over the years but this is my first Nissan 4x4. 1) whats the best synthetic oil for the VQ motor ? 10-30 ? 5-30 ? 2) im assuming the Nissan factory oil filter would be a good replacment 3) any good suggestions for new tranny fluid when i flush and replace the filter ? 4) How to care for transfer case ? so i have to change the gear oil ? how often ? is there gear oil in there or a special fluid ? what weight is the oil ? so many questions so little......wait i have plenty of time, LOL thanks guys..... :bow:

yea i guess im a creature comfort sorta guy. im commin from a 93 maxima and also a 98 altima (both sold to buy the pathy). im not one of those people that buy an suv to haul kids around, i bought it cause i wanted to get some off roading time in but still wanted the leather, navigation, flip down tv (going in this weekend) ect....also im a Nissan guy i just cant buy anything else...... :bow: the xterra looked too cheap to me, the armada is just too dang big, the murano, well just diddnt appeal to me...i knew then the Pathfinder was the one it was perfect. great engine and road characteristics, awesome looks and well .....its Nissan..... sly
