I love the new Taco, I would have gotten one but the extended cab was just too small for me and by the time I set up a crew cab the way I wanted it would have cost too much, I looked at used but those Toyotas are way overpriced on compared other trucks on the market. My Titan came with those rugged trail's on it too, I'll probably put a set of REVO AT's on it when the BFG's start to wear enough that I can justify it to myself. Anyone know af a safari style rack that can go on top of a fiberglass camper shell?

So I've finally said farewell to my pathy. I really needed to move up to a full size and found an 04 Titan Kingcab LE with 9200 miles on it, the new truck was really nicely set up with a Cap on the back and the off road package. The only thing that kills me is that when I consider the $900 tires that I put on the Pathy a month ago I really only got $1300 for the pathy. Oh well It went to one of my employees so it will have a good home.

Anyone know of a good place to go wheeling around Chicago? I'm actually in the northwest suburbs so southern wisconsin would be good. My truck sees some off roding for the work I do with the SAR group but I want to find a place that I can have some fun in the truck.

I just dropped it off at the brake shop, took a little argueing but they are fixing it.

I've been running an Eclipse head and amplification for almost 4 years now, it was definetly worth the money there is nobody else that delivers the performance and absolute bulletproof reliability that Eclpise does. That said the real soundquality differences come from good speakers. I run focal up front with eclipse coaxials and a 12" Extant sub. The system has been in my car for almost 80,000 miles and I've never even blown a fuse.

So someone was looking out for me. I get a blow out, which prompts me to replace my tires... kind of sucks because I really wanted to do new wheels and tires but thats besides the point. I did a little shopping around and ended up putting 31X10.5R15 Firestone Destination MT's. They take off my wheels at the tire shop and 3 of the bolts that attach the rotors to the hubs fall right off. The tire shop tells me that this was probably caused by over-tightening the bolts when I had the brakes done a few months back. Has anyone heard of this happening before?

Is anyone running 32's with the OME lift? I have 31x10.50's on the stock rime with no rubbing and I think there's room for 32's if I do new wheels but I dunno

no problems here either but I don't think my low fuel light works anymore although thats a seperate problem.

I love my OME springs, They didn't settle very much at all and they really have a nice controlled ride. I'm running 31X10.5 Revo AT's and have no rub with the stock wheels on. As soon as my tires need replaced I want to do new wheels and 32's. I think they will fit without cutting or at least very little cutting.

Doing just the lower ones may fix the problem but both upper and lower should be replaced. All the bushings back there are the same and rot out the same way. In normal driving doing just the lower may take care of the symptoms but what happens it you have to make an emergency lane?

That looks sweet. I would love to do the same to my truck, unfortunately I did the OME lift and will probably have to do as much cutting to get on 32's.

The last thing we need is the Fed regulating prices; they can't buy a toilet seat for less than $600. What they should be doing is raising CAFE standards and closing loopholes for automakers. Don't get me wrong I don't want to give up my truck but there seems to be a horse power war going on, all the technology is going towards more power on the same gas. Why can't I have similar power and 25% better fuel efficiency? Or a nice powerful diesel and the clean burn diesel fuel they get in Europe.

I have the 31x10.50 15 REVO AT's on my 97 and have been very happy with them. They are a great all around tire and have gotten better on wet roads as they age, something to do with a dual coumpound design. I will defienetly buy then again.

I thought of doing the same kind of thing when I first got my pathy. I actually found a set of 18" Enkie rims and a set of Perrelli Scorpion Zero tires that would work well for about $1500. Then I thought F' it I'll do a killer stereo instead. It would have been a sweet look though.

You should tell the guy to upgrade to fire resistant lug nuts.

I would not buy the Dodge. That statement comes from nine years of auto sales. Overall I don't think the reliability is there,nor the re-sale value. I would not buy a brand new truck, if you are the kind of person who wants something new and likes to trade every few years the Lease a new truck but buying one especially with current gas prices is risky. If crude oil stays as high as it is gas prices will continue to rise and the re-sale on all trucks is going to suffer. Leasing protects you, the lease company takes the risk not you. :cool2: What truck you buy depends on what you will do with it. You said that you would use it to tow your pathy or your boat. How much does the boat weigh? I'm a firm beleiver in buying used. I think you get the most bang for the buck, not to mention the fact that most trucks have never been off road or towed anything so you should be able to find something in great shape. As far as what to buy if your doing light towing and little off road in the new truck I would go for a used Tundra, say what you want about it being under-powered but the 4.7 is a great engine, very smooth and reliable. Not to mention that the Tundras road manners can't be beat. If you are doing alot of heavy towing or need more bed capacity I would go with a GM truck with the Duramax Diesel, the Allison trans and the Eaton diff. That would be a bullet proof truck that still gets decent mileage and will last forever.

I ride as much as I can, during the summer I do 2-3 rides a week and take a week long bike vacation. I'm a hartail guy, I ride a Giant XTC2 thats mostly stock with a better tires.

I'm running the same setup on my truck and am very happy, my ride height has evened out to an extent but I'm still thinking about doing spacers up front.

Man I wish I had the 3.5....

The G-wagon is awesome especially the new one with the 468hp compressor engine. Also on the price no object SUV's I would love the VW Toreg W10 diesel that is one sweet ride. Massive power and it averages like 23 mpg. :cool2:

No, I do mean the rear I think they are riding a little lower than when I first put them on that is what I think has evened out the ride height. If I had been thinking I would have measured and then I would actually know.

I've now put a few hundred miles on the truck and am happy to report that the ride height has evened itself out. The rear springs must just take a little longer than the rear to settle in.

Wow Looks Tough! I wounder If I could do 32's on mine I did the OME lift springs, I'd probably have to do alot more triming... it'll have to wait a while my tires have at least another year in them
