  1. Thats what I thought at first but what about the loose feeling in the steering wheel?
  2. The 4 cyl diesel was a 2.7 litre. It was known as the Terrano, not sure if they came in the R50 though
  3. I've been noticing a clunk in what seems to be the left strut assembly. Its really noticable in the morning when i first start the truck and the engine moves side to side. Also the steering wheel has sort of a loose feeling when I hit moderate bumps, wondering if its related, but I was maybe thinking just the sway bar bushings because I sometimes get a pretty solid clunk when going over bumps. but anyway any feed back would be appreciated thanks.
  4. Hello everyone. Need to do brakes on the pathy soon, just wondering if anyone has used zimmerman rotors before and how good they are. Figured there from Germany so they have to be good. Also want to use Akebono pads. Thoughts? thanks for any help.
  5. wow the conversion calculator i was using was way off. 79 litres is 20.9 gallons. The most i've put in is 17 gallons though. Never really ran it to dry though
  6. The manual for my 03 pathy says it has a 79litre or 17 gallon tank. But when i fill up after the gas light comes on it only takes 13 gallons.
  7. I had a set of 265/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler revos on my 03 pathy, with absolutly no rubbing. Very close to the strut mount though.
  8. also if you have an auto tranny you should disengage the O/D
  9. Are none of the other doors opening with the remote? Also will the driver side door unlock and lock with the power door switch? As for the actuator there pretty easy and straight forward to change, i've replaced quite a few on Chryslers, you just need to take your time and be patient because you don't have a lot of room to work with.
  10. bernie mac- Iwas just looking at national 4wd's website and they have a store that just opened in Langley,BC. Should check it out
  11. Im in Ontario. The store im getting them is called national 4wd, in burlington,ON
  12. I found a set im getting at $200 a piece CDN near where i live
  13. also, im pretty sure i know the answer to this, but does a suspension lift affect the position of the strut mount?
  14. cool, thanks for the fast response, these rims have a backspace of 4.03" so im good
  15. I want to get a set of **** cepek rims for my 03 R50. my concern is the tires hitting the strut mount. I already have 265/70/16 tires on the stock 16x7 rims and the tires are just missing the strut mount. My question is will the new 16x8 rims fit? will it give the tire that extra bit to hit the strut mount? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  16. Thanks for the help. The thing is I've already gotten bigger tires I just have them on the stock rims. The thing Im concerned about is geeting to big of an offset on the rim because i've heard its harder on the front wheel assembly, I don't know if it's true or not
  17. hey everyone, I want to get bigger wheels for my 03 pathy. I currently have the 16x7 5 spokes that come with the chilkoots. My concern is the offset I heard if you go too big it is harder on the front assembly is this true? And does anyone know what the stock offset is for the OEM wheels? thanks for any help
  18. hey, I want to replace the front rotors on my 03 pathy with 4wd. I was looking in fsm and it seems simple enough. The thing is the manual says to do a preload adjustment after wheel bearing has been reassembled. Has anyone actually done this? is it something I can skip? thanks for any suggestions.
  19. whats goin on everyone Im not actually a new member, I joined NPORA a little under 2 years ago. It just took me THAT LONG TO GET A PATHY! I got myself a black 2003 Chilkoot edition about a month ago. Its got the VQ35 under the hood and is all stock. Im probably just gonna throw some bigger tires on her and leave the rest alone. Anyways just thought i would introduce myself again later
  20. ya go with the 31x10.5 any bigger and you have a chance of the tires rubbin on tight turns
  21. Just wondering which finder is the way to go? Does the limited slip and adjustable shock absorbers make the SE any better off road?
  22. I am 17 and am interested in getting a Pathfinder. My brother told me though that I should get manual because the Automatic transmissions in the 90-95 models tend to blow after about 200 000 km. I just wanted to know if anybody knows if this is true or has experienced any problems with their automatics. Thanks
