  1. Dude. I'm getting teary-eyed watching the progress. I'm looking at some 94-95's maybe I'll be back in the game soon enough.
  2. No destination is the destination of the undestinated. But he who wanders with purpose has no purpose to wander.

  3. That snorkle is pretty cool. I wonder if it restricts air in the bends of the pipe. Anybody have one of these?
  4. Yeah your trucks looking pretty good. You didn't have the snorkel did you? Only 1500 manuals, only offered in 2003... it was quite a treasure hunt finding one close and in tip-top shape. It wasn't even that close Carmax had to transport it up from one of their stores in SC. Thank you. The color is the best thing about it I actually just got the windows tinted on Tuesday, and I changed out all the interior bulbs to LED yesterday. I'm buying a factory integration kit for my iPod right now and then I'm putting my roof rack on next week so I'm ready for opening weekend. It's progressing real quick. Springs will be on by the end of the month. I wish I had money back when I had the Pathfinder lol.
  5. I was actually looking at that model CL back before I got the hatchback, but the manual transmission only came on the low-end CL. They look a little odd in the back too but once you get over that they are a great car. Yup. It's a great company to work for I'm transferring up to the Boone location when I move away for school. What shirt are you wearing? Red? What's up 88? I'm real interested in seeing a picture of your rig. You always come up with the best mods let's see what it looks like now.
  6. Yeah that'd be pretty cool. Are you talking about the apartments at UVillage? Oh, and I got a CL- there's a picture in the first post.
  7. Aww I would but I think I just dumped a ton of money into buying a car that no 19-year-old in his right mind should have lol. As Casey mentioned it would make an excellent board truck... but I've got heated seats! I see you partially took my idea of turning the '87 into a Panda by switching on my black doors except you put just the gas flap on lol. Yeah the cops around here sometimes get a little too hyped up over busting a party... which reminds me your old neighbor (actually probably different people, but same house) threw down big a few weeks ago it's a shame you aren't still around
  8. Nuh-uh. I have a new email and I think on my profile it's still my old address... changing it right now.
  9. Damn Casey you're up to 3 Pathfinders? Somebody's religious lol
  10. I should go ahead and do that now before I lower it lol. The things got about 4 inches of clearance between the tire and wheelwell (more than my old Pathfinder) lol... Anything Honda with a V6 is a 4x4 when it comes to ride height. Thanks! Work hard, party hard, but only after studying hard is my motto. Does Jim even own his two Pathfinders anymore? Hey why don't you veterens that I know post some current pictures of your Pathy so I can see the progress. Surprise me, guys!
  11. Hey I guess a bunch of you don't know me I kind of stopped posting after my Pathfinder and I were rear-ended a couple years back now. Just checking in whos all left? 88path, Pezzy, RedPath88, UNCC, vengeful, skrilla... long time no see. Is MaritimeMan around these days? How has Mr Jim been? Let's see I have since graduated from high school, about to finish an Associates degree in Arts at the local community college then transfer to Appalachian State next fall. I'm pretty excited about that because I have gotten big into snowboarding as of last winter and the slopes aren't too far from the school. Also crammed into the last couple years was the excitement of getting my first apartment and financing my first widescreen and furniture (which is still being paid off lol), which after 8 months I got kicked out for throwing an underage party. Let's see, I'm still delivering chinese food and I kept the license plate EGGROL4U on my Civic for about a year. I have also gotten a job at a full service carwash and have made it up to a manager position which is pretty cool I don't have to throw out 1's at the strip club anymore I can throw out complimentary carwashes lol... jk, haven't made it to a strip club yet that would be a little awkward telling the lady friend. Anyways, it took awhile to find a car I liked after losing the Pathfinder. I went through a '94 Accord, a '92 Civic, a '01 Accord, and a '96 Civic hatch. The latter two weren't bad but I didn't like the 4 doors on the Accord or how slow the Civic was. That Civic looked pretty cool it was silver, lowered with SI wheels and JDM headlights and the roof rack looked pretty sweet on it. I just got tired of having to apologize to my passengers for having a loud and bumpy car so I got a new one! It's a 2003 Acura CL Type-S with a 6-speed. It took me so long to find this car they only made 1500 six-speeders and only 296 in this color. It's nice because this is the first car I've gotten excited about since the Pathfinder, the only difference is this time I have money to spend on it. Let me know what you guys think and tell me what's new around here!
  12. Me too. I have a pretty sturdy grip so that's what I did. I have a couple of burn scars from the exhaust manifolds too.
  13. Don't get too thrilled about gas mileage. Don't you know how it takes 100 miles to get down to 3/4 full but then 20 miles to get from 1/4 to empty? It's like that in any car it seems. I wrecked mine a couple months ago and am getting all nostalgic. You'll have fun with it.
  14. People called mine a Jeep, but I think they were simply using Jeep as a substitute for the phrase '4x4 SUV thing'. Does anybody else find the backs of the new Grand Cherokees to be similar to the WD21s? The angled, flat back windshield seems really reminiscent... I like them a lot.
  15. You used 150 grit?! Damn. It's almost as if you were painting with bedliner...
  16. Yeah I've seen those on another site... I think somebody else pointed them out awhile ago. The fact is, even if somebody around here was into that stuff, those are still crappy versions of what real scissor doors should do... they're manual. The good ones go up all the way and come down and latch by remote; motorized. I think I'd be interested in seeing a Pathfinder with them at a show. No negative thought expressed at all, I just would be interested is all.
  17. All the typical Nissan add-ons and gadgets are stupid. The sport-suspension shock setting and E-Auto button for the transmission were pretty much useless and only added so Nissan could say they had the most gadgets. That and those rear seat belt clips that haven't seemed to make it in anyones Pathfinder.
  18. Haha. Reminds me of Gone In 60 Seconds... well how about having sex while boosting cars?
  19. Isuzu did the entire Passport, and that's why the Passport was never reliable like the Honda badge implied it would be. The Passport was Honda's biggest mistake to date. That and the Acura SLX which is based on the Isuzi Trooper. And off-roading isn't always like sex; it really depends because there are people out there who simply don't get as excited about bumping up and down on rocks like you guys. Me, for example; I've been here and there and take it easy every time. And there are decent trails within 5 miles of me. If there was decent sex within 5 miles of me I know I'd be hitting that and not the trail.
  20. How much driving do you do? If you drove 20,000 a year (higher than average, but still common) 8-10 years won't get you too far over 200,000. I'd say go for it. With the refinement of those V6s in the current Pathfinder, they should last longer than my little 3.0 liter and mine was doing just fine at 164,000 until somebody rear-ended me. Oh damn I forgot that my transmission had to be replaced. But I pushed my truck hard... take note of the avatar... the brakestands will kill your transmission.
  21. If reliability is the only thing on your mind, go with the Honda or even a Toyota. Nissan has always been one step behind their Japo brothers as far as reliability. They're still great, just not immortal like a Honda. A Pilot is a big Accord. The only advantage a Honda Pilot would have over an Accord would be that it rides higher so you get an overlook on traffic and plenty of cargo room. If this is all you want, get the Pilot. If you think you might get adventurous one day I'd opt for something a little more rugged such as a Pathfinder.... or get the best of both worlds and get a 4Runner. Oops. Did I say that out loud? BTW, your wife has a good point. My father drives his Accords over 300,000 at times, but always at least 250,000. He's had 5 so far and looking to get into his next one soon.
  22. $500. Jeez John... talking like my 12 year old brother. I've dumped 3000 into my little piece of @!*% delivery car in the last 2 1/2 months. Then sold the #$!&^% for 215. Okay. Parts thread coming momentarily. Part-out thread: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9145
  23. A '54 Jeep. What did they call those back then, a CJ? Wow. That amazes me. I thought Jeep Wranglers and their predecessors were the epitome of an off-roading beast.
