  1. Anyone ever put a '01+ engine in a pre-'01 Pathy...out of the box, they're making ~240hp.

I was thinking of the same thing... The VQ35 would probably fit since the bodies are the same. What about the VQ40s? 270HP..

  2. Installing an amp to power the subs is no problem. Bypassing the factory amp for the speakers is.. ehh it was doable. I just ran wires from pin to pin on the harness... I will run new speaker wire this summer.

So, does that mean I don't need to bypass the stock amp since I'm not adding new speakers, just another amp to power my subs?

  3. I'm guessing LE.. With the leather seats, climate control, bose stereo, and al the other goodies. Or it could be a SE with a bunch of goodies. I have a 97 SE with chrome bumber caps and grill. I have most of the other things you metioned there except for the leather/power seats. As for the LE having the dash switch for 4x4... That wasn't until later on.

    Final answer: SE

  4. ...most of the time! LOL  WAVEY

Sounds to me that you're not liking yours much. :nono:

I got mine for around that price almost 2 years ago. I have a 97 though and about 97K miles. It was used as a grocery getter since it was the doctors wifes... Nothing wrong with it at all. There was one thing that bothered me, though. It was the smell of baby milk, or powder. I think they poured some in the vent prior to selling it. Most of the smell is gone by now.

  5. My wife actually told me that was the best trip she's ever been on, and she was cool with me trying whatever I thought I could make it thru... That made my day...

That'll make my day too.. If you can get the girlfriend/wife to be confident in what you're doing, wheeling would be so much easier. I know the Pathy is basically stock, but it's not like I'm hitting serious trails. How did you convince her? Hehehe, I think we'd all like to know.

  6. My light lit up once for some reason with something dripping on the o2 sensor. Forget what it is. The other time was because of me.. :) when I fixed the sticky pedal problem. I emptied the entire bottle in the intake without starting it up. I guess I filled it with liquid. I knew that was the problem so I let the ride and it eventually went away, hasn't lit up since.

I say once! and I'm at 126,000 Miles

  7. Is there an sub amplifier with an on/off switch? I recieved a box sub from a friend and was thinking of getting an amp. I wondering if they had such an amp or if it is possible to toggle the power to the amp with an aux button when my son is in the car.
