  1. I've done it with only having pillows, it wasn't the best, but your foam pad idea would make it way better!
  2. Yeah I like how it looks a lot without it too. I mostly put it on for security purposes. Its a two to three day trip from where im at in AZ to ID and i want my stuff to be locked up. I like how it is now though too. I want to get a bed draw system to store tools and guns and stuff. It is a pain getting in there and especially cleaning out, I can't just lean over the side anymore.
  3. They should definitely have dropped the name. I can understand why they wanted a vehicle like it, but it is not a pathfinder.
  4. How do you get time to do this?! Its awesome, keep it up.
  5. Does look they could be the same rims. They're aftermarket i think from discount tire, the p.o. put them on.
  6. 05 Tacoma, trd offraod, leveled, 285/75/16. Only truck i have at college with me.
  7. Looks awesome to me. Plus with the rope you can fold it up so its not super bulky like a huge expensive one!
  8. Well you can get an Xterra with a solid rear axles and a locker, and I think the really new ones have the fancy buttons to help you drive up or down hills, so yes you could say that is better for offroad. If you're more concerned about the towing option, the newer pathfinders have a v8 option... so pick what you want for you what you want it to do.
  9. None of my friends call mine that, since they've seen it copletely filthy plenty of times and none of them would do that with theirs... HA. All my girl friends have loved it after they see where it can take us and the room i can make in the back!
  10. RULE #1. Treat every gun as loaded!!! RULE #2. Don't keep guns where stupid peope/little kids can get them!!!
  11. It's like a 22 cause it is a 22, just with more powder, thats why in the civilian worlds is the.223 caliber... you can get automatic rifles in arizona, you just have to purchase a tax stamp to own it, and find it to buy it. Actually saw one for sale at a flea market once.
  12. Yeah they get stiffer in sport. My front ones had been replaced but my back ones still work and there is still a noticable difference.
  13. Going out by myself is practically how i learned to drive stick!!
  14. oh yeah, i forgot to say we replaced the radiator cap 2 or 3 times too.
  15. Thankfully this isn't my pathfinder, but our 2003 xterra is being really weird. The coolant will not go from the resevoir back into the radiator like it is supposed to when we shut it off. We look at it in the morning and the resevoir is over full and the radiator is about two and half water bottles worth low. We had the fan clutch replaced on a recomendation from a mechanic but the problem is persisting and the radiotor place we go to at home thought there was a leak but couldn't find any and couldn't figure out what is going on. Any ideas would be appreciated in hellping solve this!
  16. That sucks man. I hate when stuff like that happens. When i was at the midnight premier of Dark Knight acouple years ago some cops interupted to movie to say a few vehicles had been broken into. And living where i do and having people ask about our cars if they're for sale I'm surprised my pathy and hardbody haven't been broken into. Hope you can fix the window without to much pain.
  17. Yeah thats not really a problem in Arizona. At least not yet, monsoon season should be coming and winter was pretty "wet" so i hope it will rain more than the last couple years. If i do happen to play around with the do not cross when flooded areas i'll just take a look at them every once in a while.
  18. I then say leave the one thats on there now and then when it gets cooler switch it!
  19. I'll say there's three that do any offroading, You, me and some other guy i seen with a two door that has some nice driving lights and stuff that i've talked to once but haven't seen in a long time. From what i've seen all the rest are four door and the transfer case is probably seised up on them, which is sad.
  20. Thanks, I got them on and locked em and the axle spun when i spun the tire so they work! My next question is what kind of grease should i put in them if any? I have some mag 1 multi purpose lithium grease.
  21. So Facebones was able to go back and get the internals for me, thanks again! Now where does the snap ring go when i put the manual ones on? Does it just go first then slide the hub stuff on? My repair manual just says make sure the lock pin is in possition, so im wondering if there's a specific position or you just slide it on?
  22. Is that just cause of the cooler problems? I see a lot of people here doing at to mt swaps when driving at is a lot simpler, and for a dd if you're in a city a lot more comfortable...
