I have been looking into this for awhile also. I haven't had much success.

I am not looking for a lot more HP. When I tow the boat I keep the tranny in 4th gear to keep my rpm's up, and my engine making decent HP. I would like to make a few mods to help out with my trucks towing capability.

Were those from nissan, or were they aftermarket?

Anybody have a clue whether or not cupholders were available for a 91 pathfinder. I have a 90 z71 that you could buy cupholders for at the dealership. What about the pathfinders?

I agree that the benefits will only be seen in the higher rpm's, but, when I pull the boat my engine is constantly in the 3500-4000 rpm range.

Anybody done any porting to the throttle body or the intake runners on these engines? I was just wondering if there was any HP to be found there?

The girlfriend just bought a miata, and since we are soon to be married, it looks like kids will be along in the not too distant future. The way I figure it, the only family car we will have will be my pathfinder. Since it looks like I will have to keep it at least 4 more years(length of loan on the miata), I would like it to do a little better job pulling my bassboat.

Is there a difference in fuel mileage between auto and manual hubs?

I was told that if you removed the catalytic converter, and installed a good free flow exhaust that it reduces the heat and backpressure on the exhaust manifolds, which keeps them from cracking. Any thoughts on this?

I can't remember. My truck is in the shop getting the passenger side exhaust manifold replaced(go figure). I think it says interlock. It was an option on the se trucks that were equipped with the offroad package. I believe it locks the diff electronically, just like the titans that have the offroad package.

I have the locker switch on my little rig. It only works when you have the 4wd engaged. I don't really know what it does, but the light only comes on when you press the switch with 4wd engaged.

So there is no real advantage to replacing my engine with one from a maxima. What about an engine from a 300zx?

Hey guys, how much difference is there betweeen a maxima engine and a pathfinder engine. They are both early 90's vg30e. I can see that the injection is different, and the oil filter adapter. Also, there are some lines that come off the passenger side valve cover and go to the back of the maxima engine. What's up with those? How much of a difference is there in HP between the two engines? Hey guys, anybody know where you can buy new window moulding for the glass in my truck? The dealer down here is not much help. The moulding on my rig has gone bad, and it is so noisy in my truck at highway speeds I can't even hear myself think.

Who can reprogram my ecu? I don't know of anyone local. Can you still buy a programmer for these trucks? Who makes cams for my rig?
