  2. Should probably update this so you guys don't think I'm working on this thing forever lol. After 3 weeks of tedious work I finally got it back together and thankfully no leaks! This is definitely a big job to do nevertheless but totally worth it in my case as I would drip about half a quart of oil after parking... yeah. Also in the meantime while I had the rig apart@TowndawgR50 helped me install the Pines to Spines 4" SFD kit which also made it possible to take my oil pan out and access other parts of the vehicle. More details on that later... Also after this huge project and with addition to the SFD I have replaced and installed: New OEM motor mount Denso Starter 4" stainless steel braided brake lines from Goodridge Extended breathers on front and rear differentials U Joints New O rings in the oil pan as well as the pan gaskets and RMS IVAC gasket Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  3. I don't recall them coming with that middle washer, but I tend to use them if I have them on similar applications. Depends on if the bushings are flat on both sides, or if they have a raised lip to seat into the larger hole. Either approach is a means to prevent the hole from wallowing out should the link come loose.

  4. Sorry to hear this! The past 6 months has been rough for R50 owners. At least its just the bumper and some minor body damage. I don't have one handy but I know there are a few donors in the yards around us. Tacoma has 2 of the same body style, Lynnwood has a couple and so does Arlington. There is a yard near @zakzackzachary in the peninsula that supposedly has a few as well. Not sure on the colors but you should ar least be able to find a bumper support.

  5. Looks good! Could you just reuse the old nuts? So long as they're not stripped they should be fine

  6. Sorry fellas, guess I hadn't been following this post. Yeah, the bumper bracket projects got put on hold while working some other projects. I may resurrect this project in 2020, since I'm planning to redo mine with plate style bumpers. I think that'd might open up some other options.

  7. Thanks! And they're alive and well on my dads D21 with the hard to find center caps that I got for $1 a piece [emoji16] I'd have kept them on but they wont hold 33x12.50s [emoji31] and I'm on the fence as well about the rack even though it's been on there 3 years. It does however give me a perfect mount for a light bar and since I have 3 cross bars on top I can load a good amount of stuff up there for the bigger trips or when camping. Plus it gives my sunroof some protection from branches and such Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

  8. Welcome back! Rig is looking good. I'm still torn on if I like the Xterra racks on those, but it does look like a clean install. I'm sad the Lego's are gone though. ?

  10. This is a common problem with the RE4R01A automatic transmission in the Pathfinder. Its likely the reverse clutch basket snap ring. It will break and the debris have the tendency to start to damage forwars gears, although some have had a loss of reverse with no other issue presumably from a clean break that snap ring. This year has been a bad one for the R50 automatic trans. Quite a few have had this issue. You need a rebuilt trans or to rebuild the unit in your rig.

  11. Woah what a breath of fresh air! I never knew that replacing sway bar bushes could increase the enjoyment of driving this car! I replaced the front sway bar bushes over the weekend with new links in the post. Rear sway bar was removed for a few days while I wait for new bushes and links to arrive. I can't believe I put up with all the squeeks and rattles they were causing for 3 years! Anyways I've been trying to tidying up the car in a semi economical way lately: - replaced the mini lamps from the switches on the centre console. - replaced all seats with newer ones from a 2000 R50. - in the process of replacing all sway bar links and bushes. - established that I'm running an open rear diff, was kind of hoping for an LSD as a bonus but ah well... And here's a snap of NZ's South Island's east coast in winter!
