  1. So I had to so a double take when I saw this album cover and it is definitely a pathfinder. Probably got a little too excited when I noticed this but thought it was sweet.

  2. Finally finished mine, from Coastal. I think it’s a fantastic build. It’s very heavy but very sturdy. There ARE some flaws in the design that they don’t account for, such as the dinky little power steering line that runs across the front of the frame, so that was a huge pain to bend and move out of the way... resulting in some crushed fins on my condenser, but oh well, more reason to install an aftermarket cooler eventually. I really took my time welding the kit, made sure it was solid throughout, but I also have a pretty decent set of welding machines at work. It’s not going to be easy with a smaller welder, so be prepared to either have a decent one at your expense, or someone that can weld it. The total time it took me to bevel the edges, tack it together, weld, grind, stitch-weld the inside, etch, prime, and paint was a little over 36 hours, and I was definitely taking my time. All in all, it’s a fantastic kit, the piece quality was actually great, and the metal was very clean and ready to weld, minus the edges that all had to be beveled. For the price and availability, I strongly recommend their service.

  3. Haven't been here for awhile I'd say. Yes the pathy still runs and after cleaning the solenoids and having the code come up once again and clearing it one more time it hasn't came on for 300 miles so I think I'm in the good for the P0011 code. Now the only code its throwing is the P0152 and P0051 for the upstream O2 sensor on the passenger side. So I just bought Hitachi VVT solenoids because why not and hopefully dont have to deal with the code again and bought some Denso O2 sensors for both upstreams as I already replaced the 2 downstreams earlier. Sucky part for today is that I dont have access to my garage so I'm out in the street replacing the parts lol. It sucks forgetting a tool in the garage because you have to do the walk of shame and find out you forgot something else and gotta do it again. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  4. One thing for sure that is annoying is the difficulty routing anything from the front of the truck to the rear. Having done both electrical and air lines on mine, I've had to settle mainly to everything on the passenger side. But even getting a 4-pin trailer harness in required drilling through the body in my setup. But yeah, not to make it a Toyota vs Nissan thing, but there's been nothing on my Pathfinder that's proven too difficult to address in some form or another. Still, I think every make has some bonehead design(s). I still think Volkswagens are the worst. It should be criminal the designs they use. These are the latest I have from the other week after getting most of the lift done. OME 3" + shocks, IronMan 4x4 front and rear panhard/trackbars, poly bushings. 31"x10.5 Cooper Discoverer AT3. It's my brother's truck that he bought off a buddy for a great price, but since he lives in WA and his buddy lives down in Tucson, I've been the middle man transporting it up here, storing it, repairing it, etc., until we can figure out how to get it up to WA. I still need to swap out the bushings on the radius arms, do the RMS and oil pan gaskets (leaks!), and get the A/C plumbed and charged. I rebuilt the compressor for it months ago, but it basically has to be the last thing done because Toyota sucks. I'll put it this way: if you had to replace the passenger motor mount or the TWO lower radiator hoses, you would have to disconnect the A/C system and pull the compressor because they're in the way. It's crap like that that thoroughly pisses me off, and just about everything on the truck is like that. Front shocks took me 2.5 hrs to replace, rear sway bar about the same JUST to replace the bushings. BS all around. I honestly think all those LC guys are too chicken-sht to go against the grain and complain about this "iconic" vehicle. I suspect it is durable, but the only way it gains field-serviceability is due to parts simply being available. I'd argue there's quality, but serviceability gets a failing grade. It's been an absolute pain to work on. My mom had an FJ40 when I was born, and my dad always reminds me how much he hated that thing. Everything inaccessible, exhaust manifold kept cracking. I share his disgust from my own woes. At this point, I think the only thing I like are the looks. Once this truck leaves my garage, I'm probably adding Toyota to my banned list, joining Volkswagen.

  6. Yeah I lived there for 15 years and this was by far the most snow I have seen in the area and took advantage of it haha

  7. Wow, it’s kind of weird to see that much snow in PDX (I realize it’s not quite PDX, but still!)

  9. I ended up having it towed and turns out it was a problem with the ECT and had a wiring issue.

  10. VG30 tells you the engine family (VG) and displacement (3.0). The letter at the end tells you how it gets fuel. VG30I is throttle body injection (80s tech), VG30E is multi-port (what you've got). Some engines have more letters to designate other things. A VG30DETT is a VG30 with dual overhead cams, multi-port, and twin turbos. A VG33ER is a VG33 with multi-port and a supercharger.

  11. Ah, good catch. I've still got the half inch spacer that I got from Dean in there

  12. There is actually a lot of information about this topic here on the forum, just gotta poke around a bit. The long and short of it is, you're not gonna get more lift than that without an SFD, and even that is kind of pushing it depending on how you set it up; if you do that much lift with spacers expect CV damage if you actually go offroading. Since these vehicles are unibody, body lift is not an option. The "Land Rover Lift Springs" thread in this subforum is a great resource for information about an excellent lift option combos.

  13. Yeah, damn really is lol. I might just make a tire rack to come off the bumper instead. Seems like it's easier to get one with it
