Pathseeker
Have a 93 WD21 the brake booster went bad on, I've got the old one out. The new one didn't come with the spacer and two gaskets on it like the old one has. Does anyone know where I can find the gaskets (I figured I could use the old spacer). I'm starting to think I'll be talking to the dealership parts dept. about this. On the other hand, do I need the gaskets? I assume that they are for preventing fumes and such out of the cab and maybe soundproofing. Thanks, Tristan
onespiritbrain
I’m not sure how different the WD21 and the R50 are but I forgot to put the gasket back on there and I don’t notice a difference at all. I don’t know about the spacer as I don’t think the R50 booster has any spacers. Where does the spacer go?
Pathseeker
On mine you have a gasket at the firewall then about a 1/4" spacer then another gasket then the booster.
Mr_Reverse
A little silicone sealant will work fine. The gaskets are there simply to prevent intrusion of dust, water, and fumes.
Slartibartfast
I reused the old gaskets on mine.

Slartibartfast
For small non-critical gaskets, I like to cut my own using thin cardboard from Coke boxes and a hammer like this guy. I think I've got a Coke gasket behind one of my locking hubs and a Canada Dry gasket behind the other. I like to rub a little grease and oil on the uncoated side so it can't absorb moisture.
Mr_Reverse
Nope, nothing special. Whatever you have laying around will work fine.
