Akaric2007
For some reason the front of my my wifes path sits down like it has no shocks. I cant figure out why but I did know that she has bottomed out hard one day while driving leading me to belive she broke something. I thought she may have blew out the shocks so I purchased new shocks but it didnt help. I later found while changing the shocks this weekend that the lower compression bar was broken on one side so I changed that but it stills sags or sits very low above the front tires. I am not really sure what to do at this point.
GrimGreg
Might need to crank the torsion bars up a little, they can sag with age. If the adjusters are maxed out, search the forums for "re-index". Edited December 16, 2007 by GrimGreg
88pathoffroad
Shocks don't have anything to do with ride height...
RedPath88
Yep shocks just dampen.. or "smooth" the ride by controlling the rebound of the Torsion bars and the sudden compression of the suspension that comes with hitting a bump. If one of the torsion bars was broke then the truck would be siting all the way down on the bump stop on the side(s) a bar is broken. As GrimGreg pointed out, the T-Bars probably just need adjusted or re-indexed if they have to much sag in them. This is something you can do yourself if you choose to
NaturaTek
Hey did you ever reindexed or adjusted torsion bars?
govols74n
Hey did you ever reindexed or adjusted torsion bars? It's easy, search for re-index there are a ton of write ups on it.
