  1. So just found out today from a mechanic friend that the sub frame supporting the left front suspension is shot. Knew this was coming. Both sides in front of the doors were rotting bad with the cancer. So if anyone wants it whole for parts I will sell it. Has AC lift and locking hubs. 3.3 Motor has 150,000. Has hitch also. 2. I would go with the AC springs. I have them and it takes a lot of weight to make it sag like the factory ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have the AC lift and have 32's on the factory 16" wheels. 1" wheel spacers cleared the struts. Just had to remove mud flaps to prevent rubbing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes. Looks good. I bought 1 inch spacers and took off front mud flaps and no rubbing at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Damn. That's more than I paid for my Pathy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Does a 95 carrier fit on a 2000? I seen one for parts that had one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here's a pic with my 2500 Chevy. Bumper is actually higher on the Pathy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. 2000 SE with 32's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You can see where I used the grinder in the second pic. I primed it after. Disappointed the drivers side didn't fit the same. They are the GR2 struts btw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ok. I'm going to need spacers lol. The drivers side is rubbing a little too much for comfort. It's rubbing on the outside of the tread. The passenger side has no rubbing for some reason. Maybe cause it needs a balljoint still that I haven't installed. I went from 255/65/16 to 265/75/16 or 32's. No problems with it rubbing the fender or trim while turning even in reverse. I ordered 1" spacers which will give me the room away from the strut I need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes you can technically . Found that out today. Tires are rubbing the bottom strut perch. Tires do not fit under the strut like it should. I used the angle grinder to shave some excess metal off to right where the spring is sitting. I haven't got to test drive it yet to see how it works. Seems I have more room on passenger side than the drivers side. The back tires fit fine. I can post some pics tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't have to buy spacers. 12. Yeah. I bought used 265/75/16 off a 2002 junkyard pathfinder and hope they will fit. Different rims on that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What is the biggest tire I can get without spacers or different offset rims? I know this has been talked about before but can't find it. I'm looking to get 265/75/16 but was wondering if I could go bigger? Cutting and trimming is no issue cause it has cancer already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Install some manual hubs and that will make them last longer too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The bushing under the oil filter is coming apart around the edges and covered in oil. The other one looks good. I bought the bushings but decided to not go that route just yet. Seems like a lot of work? Do you have to disconnect the power steering lines to do it or the steering linkage? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ok. I replaced tie rod ends, ball joints and sway bar link ends. Just got back from alignment but still having same issue steering real hard to one side or the other. Shop said everything was tight. I replaced power steering fluid and noticed small air bubbles along with dark fluid. I changed that out with Lucas power steering stop leak stuff. It didn't fix the problem. There is a whining noise close to full turns in park? So I think it's power steering pump or hopeful not the rack. Any other ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I have a 2000 that is almost identical to it but beat up and rusted pretty good. I'm thinking of swapping my AC lift to it. Then use it for parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. 1999.5 pathfinder 190,000 miles recent timing belt change. Needs rear bushings. Body is decent. Haven't checked it out to see if the strut tower problem is there. Guy wants $1000 he said the only thing wrong is the bushings. How hard are those to change? He says it sways when hitting bumps. Goes fine down highway. Easy fix? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. He needs a tank lol! He breaks everything! I checked the power steering fluid and it is dark brown and looks bad. Could that be the simple fix? Drain it and change? What is the Ackerman btw? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I installed the AC lift last year with the KYB struts up front. I noticed the top out right away but didn't care cause it's lifted! So after a few months of my 16 yo son driving it, i think they are shot already. He likes to drive hard and fast in the mud. The struts have oil by the strut Pistons and it makes horrible banging. That was going on for a while but now the steering is all screwed up. It will pull hard to whatever side you are turning. You basically have to hold steering wheel with both hands. So now it is parked cause it's a danger. Any ideas what went wrong ? I'm thinking it might have to do with the struts/strut bearings? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Try switching the back and front tires. It might just be an out of balance tire. That was my problem. I had a broken belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'm having the same problem with my 2000. Battery keeps dying after sitting. My son broke the power antenna off-roading. I'm thinking maybe it's that? Where is the fuse or power wire without pulling the inner fender off? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If I recall right, I don't think so. I think you just have to take the headlight and side marker light out. It's easy either way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Maybe fuel pump?Next check for spark? You have to give a little more info. If you are that clueless it's best to just have a mechanic look at it. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
