  1. I got my class III from etrailers.com, it's made by draw-tite, and had the most clearance in that it stuck out the least. I've used it to haul a motorcycle rack with motorcycle about 1000 miles with no issues, and has taken some pretty nasty hits off road.
  2. That's a pretty creative solution, sounds like you got it figured out? I had to do the same when I first got my pathy- probably 8 lbs of dirt came out, and yet as far as I could tell it had never been off road, just rotting leaves got everywhere.
  3. I've thought of going this route, thanks for testing it out for us. Where'd you source the fan kit? Pics?
  4. Hi all, I just installed a Cobra 29LX and Wilson Little Wil magnet mount antenna on my pathfinder, it appears everything is hooked up correctly, and yet I keep getting SWR readings of 3 and above on channels 1, 20, and 40. I go through the Cobra factory recommended procedure to check and calibrate to SWR every time, and I understand the radio's meter is not as accurate as others, but I don't think it'd be reading a 3 when it's actually a 1.5. The antenna is preferrably mounted in the center of my roof, and even with trimming it, moving it to other locations on the roof, seeing if coiled wires were affecting the reading, and moving the whip up and down in its mount, I keep getting the same extremely poor results. Any help?
  5. You can pick up replacement assemblies on amazon, ebay, and a good number of other stores. Otherwise as a cheaper option, you may want to try to restore the headlights you have on there with a kit from Meguiar's. Removal is pretty much just taking off the corners which have one bolt at the top and a retainer in the back, then unbolting the headlights with the two on the side, pretty straightforward. The grille and small painted shroud under the lights will also have to be removed.
  6. Sounds like you've got some good ideas going there, interested to see how they come out.
  7. Looks good! Those Fx shrouds are really nice.
  8. Lucky guy, I'm going for upgrades when my return comes in too.
  9. Look in my build, that's about as step by step as you're going to get. Bake them, open the case, clean out the old adhesive, take out the center reflector and light assembly, and replace with the projector housing with lamp etc, find the best order of hardware that works for you. Seal it back up, wire it, and god speed while aiming.
  10. Underbody lights? Do you mean the ones in the bumper? The middle ones are Rigid Dually Spots and the outers are some cheap LED floods I bought from a guy on Expo. I wired all four to work with a 2nd gen "off road lamp" Xterra factory switch, which kept the interior looking clean. The wiring was fairly standard for accessory lights, and I mounted them by trimming the plastic in that area of the bumper, then drilling them in place. Otherwise I don't have ones for the underbody, you may be thinking of CNAM.
  11. Thanks!! Thank you very much, I just finished this weekend.
  12. I baked the whole assembly at 225 for 7 minutes after I removed the rubber components to loosen up the adhesive. It was indeed a pain to open it up, the stock glue is very sticky and messy. It gets on everything in sight. Once it was open though it was pretty easy.
  13. Just curious what setup everyone with HIDs in the headlights everyone is running, so post some pics with a description. Here's mine: Aimed DDM Tuning D2S projectors, 55w 5000k bulbs (their whitest ones), Maxima shroud, wiring harness, ballasts, matching 35w plug and play H3 bulbs in the fogs, clear corners with dual-mode smd LEDs, and a blacked out lens ring. More details are in my build.
  14. I bought by "Euro" antenna on Amazon, $13 and it's been perfectly acceptable after three years and some bushwhacking. Decent reception, and definitely looks better.
  15. I agree with the above comments. Welcome to NPORA, and unfortunately there are very limited options as far as headers go, I know on mine even "unbolting" the cats would require a torch, so with corrosion and all it will probably be quite the job.
  16. Wet Okley (sp?) covers are great, waterproof neoprene. I haven't had a use for mine as my cloth is still in good shape, but they're worth looking at.
  17. Courtesy parts may have something you need, though you'll pay through the nose for it.
  18. Please put this in the members ride area.
  19. Junkyards suck here, but the most I've gotten was my red "4WD" badge from an isuzu rodeo. Then a few random emblems I liked the look of, nothing I've put on a car.
  20. I'd look at crutchfield, they sell an adapter which allows the steering wheel controls to work, and for everything to play nice with the "Bose" (clarion) speakers.
  21. Green Acres Now that is a great reference, what a theme song. As far as age, I learned driving and driving stick (same truck) when I was 13.
  22. Get split trailing arm bushings in the rear, to make them easier to install and save some on the arms themselves. Replace suspension components as they go out, or indicate as such. These can be safety items, so don't skimp, but you don't necessarily have to replace them prematurely if they seem to be in good shape. Lifting depends if you like the stock ride, if so then go for spacers. If you don't or want extra load capacity, I cannot recommend the OME springs enough. Them, coupled with shocks and struts will give you an extremely nice ride over rough terrain, and highways alike. Tires wise, look into the Cooper Discoverer AT3s, I just installed them and love them. They were substantially cheaper than the duratracs as an added bonus too.
  23. Looks like fun! Good looking fish you caught there. The top is a pariah and the bottom a ___? I forgot the name.
  24. I believe Napa has the similar, extended axles I mentioned.
