  1. Did it stop to work overnight or have you done something? No fuel at engine, you could run the following tests if not done already. Do you hear the pump for seconds when turning ignition on without cranking? If not, check pump's fuse, wires, corrosion of the wiring to the pump and ground. Access to the pump in the cargo floor. Check fuel line for obstruction. Ensure you don't mix up fuel line and return line??? Take precaution with the gas when disconnecting the lines and ensure it is not going to be sprayed all over. Ph.
  2. Among some other things I took pics of the timing with a gates belt. On the one I had before the marks were not matching very well and aligning it was not that easy. If you do not order from Nissan, this a good buy. And this is how it lines up: And the damper at TDC plus the distributor: And also having the shop manual next is the best guarantee for success. Philippe.
  3. Leo, Any pics or a line or two on how you did it so that we can do the same?? Thanks. Philippe.
  4. Leo, 700,000 km mean in probabilities 10 times more chances of accident or problem in general than 70,000... mean the driver has to be ten times more careful... Did you ask about the maintenance records? If the maintenance schedule has been respected and no accident, you can assume that you can take it from there and keep going. If you change engine, transmission and diff for better ones, you can expect to offset the maintenance for a while. You will still have to spend your time doing the swap. But mileage seems to be a lot: one full moon trip back and forth, the base has to be worth really. Philippe.
  5. I found the black depressing under and in the engine bay. So I put some color. But look at the sway bar link cup, you immediately see it has a life behind. In black it would be difficult to notice. Back in 2009 I had to do some work on the engine and changed the color then. From this, It became like this. At the time the shop had some RED . Philippe.
  6. To make a very long story short: you all (WD21 owners) know our tension rod bracket. Mine was like that. 25 years! I cut it from the frame And got a new one welded. I did not take a pic when finished but it looks better than before. I am sure the guys at Nissan designed this lower frame on a Friday afternoon. Philippe.
  7. Stalker bravo and bravo to you all guys. PA fantastic machine too, so next year again? Philippe.
  8. Competition only men, we'll all have a beer at the end. My blue star goes to Stalker. Pathfinder will win anyway. Ph.
  9. May be you should check. And thanks the topic starter Philippe.
  10. See, you too... a little proof always boost the credibility. Philippe.
  11. That one was easy but sometime we have to take life with humor. Philippe. Sorry off topic.
  12. Interresting... now my turn. Mine doesn't burn a drop of gas!! You all want to know? I can prove it!!
  13. Like this Nissan familly. Any pic of dad's 87? I got my 88 in 2006, did not check the mileage but even a little 15,000KM/year will make more than a moon distance after 25 years. Philippe.
  14. Terrano imported from Japan. They drive on the left side, Philippe.
  15. The real professional is not the one who doesn't do mistake but the one who know how to recognize his mistake and can professionally fix it... elegantly. You can go back to your mechanic. Glad for you of this happy ending. Nice car. Philippe.
  16. Lucky you are: VG30i TBI studs pattern. A trapezium, large base // to small base, symetric, axis square w/middle of bases. Dimensions in mm 113, 95, 88, 52, stud diameter 8. All dimension external remove one diameter for drilling!! Not sure about the English terminology but you should find your way with the pics under. Hope this help. Philippe.
  17. This is not a good idea. Our basic 4WD system doesn't allow use on 4x4 on asphalt or concrete. It is not a sophisticated permanent 4x4 and in short, doesn't have what we can we can compare to a back/front differential. ONE wheel MUST skid when needed, else you will experience the scare!! Read this someone experienced this already: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33183-wheels-lock-up-when-turning-over-50/ Our old dependable 4x4 systems are intended to be used ONLY off road (ice, sand, mud, dirt). Philippe.
  18. Mr Jim, I have read about you, sorry once more you have to face a difficult time. All my moral support and condolences from Trinidad. Philippe.
  19. Today I re installed heads and finished with the timing. Getting close.
