High mount stop light

Hi,

Could anybody tell me how to replace the High mount stop light

on my Path 95? Where do I find the screws to remove plastic plate?

Is there a brithgter bulb in the market for this application?

 

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Pop off the plastic tabs on top of the light and you will find the screws. The light is all made of LED's, so there is no replacement bulb. If the whole light no longer works, check your wiring first to make sure you have voltage actually present at the light before replacing it.

im no good with LED's and such, but my 3rd brake light (high mount stop light) is very dim or dull... is there a way to either beef up the LEDs back there, or to replace them with higher wattage ones???

These are the stock Nissan LED strips. 34 LED's per row, all substandard 1992 issue. Bleh. My digicam doesn't even change f-stop for them.

 

Here are the new LED strips I put together. Note that the camera darkened the rest of the picture noticeably to compensate for the brightness of the LED's.

how about a pair of offroad lights with red lenses pointing backwards and wired into your stoplight circuit (via relay of course).

Those LED lights are cool. Very bright, That's what I was looking for.

Right now my 3rd break light are very dimmed, You can't hardly noticed it.
