Shock Replacement Instructions?

Can anyone offer me some advice on how to R&R the front and rear shocks?

Just eyeballing them it looks like they're a simple unbolt - bolt on deal. Am I missing something?

By the way, I'm probably going with KYB gas shocks. Anyone have any experience with Bilsteins?

Bilsteins are good, alot of crawlers and racers use them

also, its pretty easy to replace them, its pretty hard to mess it up, just unbolt the old ones and put the new ones it

just jack up the truck, for the front jack that cross member up so both wheels are off the gound, unbolt the shock bolts and put the new ones in, if they are to extended to fit just push them in a bit and put them real quick before they extend again

for the rear, jack up the frame, put a jackstand under that side, let the jack down and repeat for the other side, unbolt the shocks and throw the new ones it

Yeah, the rears were easy. I did it without jacking the back end up, and it only took about two hours to get the old ones out and the new ones in. Had a tough time taking one shock off... well, the eye of the shock... it had broken off the shock body and was siezed onto the mount.

Drivers side is pretty tight, with the exhaust and (panhard rod)?

I haven't tackled the fronts yet, although it is needed.... I'm a bit hesitant, but I'm sure it can't be too difficult.

yes, but it will make it alot easier if it is

matter of opinion really... if you fit under the truck then its simple jacked or not.

But yeah I am sure most would agree that it is "easier" because you would have more room to move around.. I just prefer to eliminate the extra step, that's all. ;)
