Problems after cold start up

For the past week or so the Pathy has been giving me problems after start up after having sat overnight. It starts up fine and idles for a second or two but then promptly dies. When I start it up and immediatly give it some throttle it gets to about ~1300 RPMs "coughs" (I don't really know how else to describe what it does but cough is a good approximation) and then dies. Does this for 3 or 4 startups until I can get it to rev up then it runs fine. Any thoughts?

Sticky wax choke? That's the dealie on front of the TBI with two coolant hoses going into it. I wonder if your mixture heater works, too. Mine was totally burnt out. If the EGR valve stuck open somehow it'd do that too, I bet.

Hmm this morning it didn't die. It tried to, but I gave it a little gas and it sprang back to life. Didn't get to run codes yesterday, I'll have to do it tomorrow.

you sure when the guys did yer tranny they didn;t knock somethin loose? have you checked all possible hoses, lines, wires etc? and also what 88 said
