Best way to approach this....

Hey guys my rocker panels are pretty much rusted through... any suggestions on how to hack at this? Or is it best to bring to a body shop. I heard is very expensive to bring to a body shop to fix this particular part. The guy that owned the truck before sprayed foam-on-foam all over the damn thing :oops: hardly a temporary fix at all... all it did was make it messy and help keep humidity and condesation inside the rust...gahh... Also i got some floor boards to replace...any suggestions on that?

To fix it back to original won't be cheap, the replacement pieces are some $$ even for non-oem.

a torch, a welder and some sheet metal.. of course some skill would also help.

Ya I can weld do its not to bad...ill most likely do the interior myself and get a pro to fix the outside up...

why not do what someone posted pics of ( i can never find the posts when i want them) .. he cut out the "skid/lower panel" and replaced it with some diamond plate he painted black... so now it looks like a rock slider.. looked schweeeeeeeeet too
