solid snake
Whats up? Would it be better if i got the MSD 6A, or should I get the 6AL. From what I'm reading, the 6AL sounds like a better option, and I have the cash to buy it, what do you guys think?

88pathoffroad
Doesn't matter. They'll both do the same job. If one has more options that you desire, get that one instead of the base model.

solid snake
I've heard many good things about it, it does seem like a worthwhile investment. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5167 Oh, and I finally went with the 6a instead of the 6al...it was cheaper. solid snake
Finally got the msd on monday, and now I have to wait to get wiring I'm really excited about installing it. I really want to hook it up, but I'm weary about frying my stock wiring.
88pathoffroad
It won't "fry your wiring" unless you hook up wires backwards. Also, check to make sure you don't need a tach adapter to get your stock tach to work with it...mine needed one. I got it direct from MSD, actually they sent it to me free cause I was having a hard time getting it to work initially.
solid snake
Well, it's finally installed. jsut had to troubleshoot before actually testing it...I had to make sure the pathy will start :o I basically followed wheelman ls1 instructions, still need new wiring so more voltage can go thru, new plugs were alreay installed last week. Will post more once I actually test it out today. Edited February 21, 2006 by solid snake
