grill mesh

ok well I am tired of my front grill. I think it looks....ur....stupid. so i was thinkin I would just fabricate my own.. just make a big piece and cut out spots for my headlights and make it look all nice. anyway I dont know of the first place to find grill mesh to do this.

 

can anyone point me in the right direction. ??

You could try some local metal suppliers in your area. I guess it depends on the type of grill material you want. Sometimes they have scraps that you can get for quite a bit cheaper.

I've seen the stuff at local hardware stores, maybe even Home Depot.

Kinda what I was thinking. If that's your cup 'o tea, the chrome/stainless/etc. look mesh stuff, I saw some at a local ricer shop a while back. I was only buying lights there, I swear!!! I'd check out the suppliers of our friends from ricer land.

Yeah, depending on how big of a piece you want, Home Depot sells this stuff that I used here. Here's a pic, the day I did it. I can't remember the exact size but I'd say its a piece thats around 2 ft by 1.5 ft maybe? Very stiff stuff, not easy to bend.
